Oh gosh, sounds like a close call! Whew. Could have been much worse and glad it sounds like he'll be okay.
I knew this eldery gentleman who cut himself much, much worse, and he was alone! It was so bad he almost bled out. Because of it he passed out, but woke up again and managed to call the ambulance, but then he passed out again. And woke up again; this continued for awhile but he luckily managed to give them enough information so they could get to him. But not before they went the wrong way and had to doubleback in order to reach him. He was over 80 when this happened and it's purely a miracle that he survived it! I still can't believe that he did. He's gone now due to old age but got well over ten more years after the incident.

Had a dream where someone attempted to lure me down a building for capture but I just lol:d and left through the front door. Didn't even open carry anything
Speaking of that, there's this guy on youtube who open carries while going fishing and that's fine. But he carries an AR-15 (actually an AR pistol) across his chest and I'm like why not a pistol on the side? That long gun over your chest just seems cumbersome

I go for walks around the neighborhood and occasionally see a fellow walking his little dog and carrying a small pistol on his hip. I do know the local coyotes like small dogs for breakfast.

He may be afraid of larger predators, but yeah that seems excessive. Actually, I’ve heard of people just walking around town with ARs slung on their backs. No laws against it, but again, sounds excessive to me, and it really tends to make people nervous unnecessarily.
