I remember once, when I went on a ski trip to Colorado with my church group, there was snow on the roof of our hotel. So I texted all of my friends and got a bunch of people together to make snowmen on the roof. We get to the roof, and I open the door, and someone closed it behind me and they all run off.
I was stuck on the roof alone for two hours. They all left to go skiing without me. None of my friends mentioned that I was locked out, and no one even missed me.
I made like six snowmen XD

Did you sit there for two hours talking to the snowmen like Tom hanks did with Wilson the volleyball on cast away

No, I sat there and cried, mostly, but I made SIX snowmen while I did it XD

YEP!
Man, that church group was sort of mean to me... I remember I auditioned for a play when I was sixteen and had to miss one rehearsal (There was literally two months to practice and we met twice a week) like two weeks before the play. At that time I was helping my mom pay the bills with my job and the youth leader got pissed at me and cut me out of the play saying I wasn't dedicated enough. Even though I had never been late or absent before, and helped as much as I could. I quit going shortly after that.
King Of Beasts
Jan 28 2014, 01:16 AM
That's cruel

It's a good thing you dropped out, between leaving you on a roof and cutting you out of a play because one absence.
-shakes head-
The church is supposed to be nice
Elisabeth Hollow
Jan 28 2014, 01:19 AM
The church itself was GREAT, just the youth leader wasn't cut out for what he was doing, and the kids were pretty wary of me. I wasn't shy about telling them that I liked men and women, so that was my fault. I shouldn't have said anything.

For me, being in a baptist church, it was alright. We played games on Wednesdays, then had bible study. It's more fun if you have friends there.

Which is something people need to fix. You think Jesus went around hating or bashing regular people for how they live? I'm from the church. I don't hate people who have certain lifestyles.

I used to go to a church group. Until I was like 13 I was made to go to church every week. Never believed, but still had to go. The group wasn't bad, and I used to sneak my Gameboy into church, which made it much more bearable

My parents tried to stop me, but after two months of solid failure on their part they just gave up

I always thought that those uncomfortable pews were intentional. Like the idea was that no-one should be comfortable before God sort of thing. Considering Christianity still pushes the "Jesus died for our Sins" angle it seems like something the church would do.

Actually, the more peaceful religions like Buddhism don't promote damnantion, rather than self reliance on one's own contentedness. That bliss comes from within, and you're already self equipped to be happy.

Nope. I like the dogs here. I'm a big dog person. But I've been throwing firecrackers at the pigeons that nest on my roof. So far after a week of bombardment, they finally left. If they return, I will go to the next level. They are full of flees, they smell like crap, their feathers get everywhere and their mating sounds makes me want to strangle a bunch of them!
