QUOTE(Acadian @ Feb 11 2021, 08:24 PM)

Thanks, Burnt. Luckily(?), I can only really manage one game at a time and I'm happily still with ESO.
Which I've never played and is on sale... Another one for me to look at? Never tried an MMO.
Although I am on (another) long hiatus from ESO, I do think you would quite like it. As Acadian says, it is very friendly to those of us who prefer solo gaming. That said, having our Chorrol guild available for boss runs and shard collecting trips provides the "right" (for me) amount of multiplayer. Naturally, the great advantage is getting to play with friends of long standing, who are truly outstanding about helping us occasional players.
And the scale, the graphics, the intricacy of character development, the crafting... all of those are quite magnificent. If you take the plunge, please let us know. We will look for you

Indeed, having the Chorrolites to help is an awesome incentive to get into ESO. Unfortunately my schedule doesn’t allow me to go to Guild meetings anymore, but I had lots of fun when I was able to go!

My only problem with ESO is that I'm unemployed, and a content sponge.
When I quit playing shortly after Morrowind launched, I'd burned through all the quests. All the dungeons. All the trials. Everything but repeatable stuff, and the repeatable writs and such just aren't enough to keep me in.
I had full legendary crafted gear that was better than anything that'd drop too. Had my monster set. It was amusing. I just can't justify dropping 60 bucks on a chapter I'll burn through in a matter of weeks, and I can't afford all the DLCs all the time. I won't pay a second sub, I'm already paying for world of warcraft.
It's a great game, just... doesn't work for me for long.
Oh, and I played EU, so I wouldn't have been with you guys. :/

Just let me know your @name, and I'll send an invite to join the guild.
Your account for ESO lets you play on both servers for no extra charge, but your "account-wide" goodies don't carry over. So mounts, pets, homes etc. have to be acquired twice, (or you have to pick where to get them). There's really no reason not to use both.
Altoholics like Grits love the number of characters that lets you have. (And they aren't ALL called Jerric, really!)

I love seeing the enhanced interest in ESO! Over in the ESO section of the forums is a thread for asking questions and getting answers. Please don't hesitate to post any questions that might occur there if you're considering joining us in ESO.

Also; I'm on my second backup Win7 so I may look weird this evening. I think that's how it works

Posting here in case anyone misses it in the Fallout Games subforum...
Fallout 76 is currently on sale for a whopping 67% off.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1151340/Fallout_76/I'm not sure what the Deluxe Edition is about, but the Steel Dawn update comes with the regular game already. Wastelanders and Steel Dawn were free updates. I assume the Deluxe Edition includes atoms and some in-game goodies. In any case, the regular edition is only $13.19. I think it will be worth it for you all to give it a try, as long as $13.19 isn't a big deal to spend for you (I don't want to make any assumptions about people's economic situations).
Hopefully, I'll see you all in game at some point. If you do, you log in with your Bethesda account (even if you aren't going through the Bethesda launcher). If you don't have one, it looks like it just generates a long, random series of letters and numbers when you make an account based on usernames I have seen elsewhere.

Don't worry bird, I don't play it either. I played at launch, I beta tested, I wanted it to be my next wow. I gave Molag Bal on my bookcase.
If I ever do head over there again, I'll definitely hit you guys up. The guild I was in mostly died, I've got very bad luck with guilds there. NA timezones vs EU language issues. Oye.
Also, Wow has a higher character limit than ESO I'm pretty sure. There was a pretty low limit even with buying slots. Wow caps you at 50, and I'm account capped >< lol

How in the world did that happen????? I took a sleeping pill last night, it's true. But, I take them many nights since beginning CPAP treatment and never sleep so late in the day. No biggie I suppose.

Well, taken the plunge and bought it, just clicked the download button (95 gigs! Oh my lord!), and think I'll leave it to do that overnight

Any further questions and I'm sure I'll have a few, I'll post in the ESO subsection
