Ah, but acting while insane would be like walking through a desert without a point of reference. You end up going in circles. If your view or interpretation of the world is off, then while you can be internally consistent, objective meaning is hard to come by. I might be able to convince myself I'm sane, but that wouldn't necessarily make me so.

I just seem to lose my connection to the character, probably down to the mortality rate among my characters.
I guess it´s easier to come back if you only have one.

I think it's a case of they don't last long enough to make much of an imprint, so taking a break from the game means my feel for them fades. Though it's not just Oblivion, I tend to find with all my games that I can't just pick up where I left off a month or so previously. It just feels wrong for some reason, maybe uncomfortable is a better word, I don't know.
Guess I have trouble getting immersed in a game I'm not starting from scratch.
