Well, I knew from the beginning that I only had until Christmas and since I know this guy from when he bought us up and shut us down without blinking I knew he wasnīt just gonna keep me even if Iīm needed. In the US they would have to pay you compensation for making you unemployed without good reason - "Unemployment Compensation" is about 3/4 of what you would have earned for six months after the job releases you; funds to tide you over while you look for another job.

They should, it is the reason a lot of companies are careful not to make you unemployed without valid cause. Some states have countered it by making "Right to Work" laws - the State I live in is one that has that law, they can fire you without cause here - but if you can prove no cause, they still have to pay you the compensation.

Contrary to popular belief, the only guns that can be purchased in grocery stores just squirt water, but the little pawn shop next to the grocery store has a good supply. You used to be able to get married in the feed store here, though.

This picture (not sure if you saw it with all my female neighbors on the same page) - this is the place that made me move to Tennessee:

It is gorgeous! I spent all my free time there hiking and bicycling after I moved here, it is a huge cove way up in the mountains - the most beautiful place I've ever seen. There are places in these mountains that it seems like no human has ever reached, where the crawdad are the size of lobsters and you'll glimpse red fox/black bears/deer/timber wolves/etc while you're hiking. They aren't tame, you have to be careful.

I read that bear could smell food from like 50 miles away, so when I went in my car I rubbed strawberry jam on the rear bumper hoping to get a good picture. I did the same thing in the Lion Country Safari in Florida where I used to live - rubbed raw meat all over my car before driving through; I've got a bunch of pictures of lions climbing on the hood of my car and licking my sideview mirror and passenger window. They threw me out, but I got a bunch of great shots first!

Oh, nothing special has happened. I got cynical long ago from stuff happening that I didnīt like. You know, changes being made that I had no control over wink.gif
