The strangest thing happened today. Just after lunch I took a 25min exercise-walk. During it, the severe grogginess that's plagued me for too many days all but evaporated! My eyes, which have been sore for at least as long, stopped hurting! Looking in the bathroom mirror after returning home showed much reduced dark greenish tinting to skin below my eye sockets. I've been appreciably more alert since then. Played a few TS2021 scenarios...to completion. Have been watching lots of YouTube vids without nodding off. I'm no less senile than ever, sad to say, but hey, you can't expect miracles.
I suspect this 'might' have something to do with my CPAP air pressure settings being bumped up from 5-12 to 7-14 four days ago. If so, it's a mixed blessing. This higher setting dries my mouth out multiple times during the night, waking me. I need to down water and gargle with a special dry-mouth mouthwash each time before returning to the sofa. Aside from loosing sleep, a bone dry mouth is bad for dental health. I'm going to stick it out a while longer, but might need to ask for my settings to be reduced back to 5-12.

<nods> A bit of good news. These past two nights dry mouth hasn't been a major issue. Yes, it's not as moist as it was, but it 'is' still moist. Let's hope this isn't a fluke! Now that I think on it, back when pressure was set to 5-10 it took days for my mouth to adjust and stop drying out during the night. That, and gargling with dry-mouth mouthwash at bedtime, which I still do.

I can empathize. I try to avoid overly 'crunchy' foods. Have done so ever since 1989, when I broke off part of a tooth biting down on a kernel of popcorn. Thankfully, I was in the military at the time. Had the damage repaired as a dental emergency that same day at the base dental center. At no cost to me, of course. The good old days. In that regard at least.
He doesn't pay for dental as it's part of his kidney care... but dental here is not cheap lol.

Yeah I'm hoping it goes well. the facility has trash reviews though so I have no idea. Most of them seem to be from prior residents, obviously. That hated being there. Because of course they did.
