Yeah it could be a facepalm moment if I do figure it out. Or maybe itll just be a sigh of relief

Or maybe Ill just look up a walkthrough.....

A walkthrough though is cheating.... but I honestly dont know what else to do now. Ive been everywhere and tried pretty much everything. Except the right stuff of course

If I hadnt gotten help with Shadowgate when I was a kid Im sure I wouldnt be able to solve it now either

Yup

Im kinda stuck now though in Deja Vu. I have a notebook thats practically giving me the suspects that committed the murder and framed me, but its not enough for the cops! They say they examine the gun the guy was shot with - my gun - and that they find my fingerprints on it.

Of course theyll find my fingerprints on it, its
my gun!!! I tried to somehow wipe them off with something but nothing works.
I would suggest looking elsewhere. If the gun's got your prints on it I doubt it'll be of any use, any way you can get rid of it?

Havent tried getting rid of any weapon. I shouldnt have to get rid of my own gun, Id think Id have to use the napkin to wipe it clean but that didnt work. I will try your suggestion later though, see if anything happens

I agree with Callidus, destroy the evidence...
But I've never played the games, so my advice is probably useless

No its not. I need outside thinking at this point
Vital
Jan 6 2014, 01:56 PM
Ok, so here's my thinking. If you know who's framed you, you need physical evidence they did so. Once you have it, you have to destroy/hide any evidence that suggests you may have committed the crime.
Of course, actually finding the evidence could be hard and I'm guessing you might need your gun, so getting rid of it should be the last thing you do, if it is necessary.

Do you have anything that goes against that? The murder weapon would only trace back to you, it's your gun with your prints on it, so that would get in the way. Is there anything else you have that could also get in the way?

The endscene when I got arrested only talked about the gun and how it had my prints on it. But I thought the note cleared me as it flat out says they took my gun, killed the guy and gave the gun back to me while I was unconscious.
Ill have to try getting rid of the gun, see what that does. There might be a clue somewhere I havent collected and thats the reason they dont believe me. I think Im being too logical here and the game doesnt like that

I think calling someone an ass as an insult actually came about after the word ass was used to describe the pack animal; there is, after all, the very antiquated insult of saying that someone who is stubborn or difficult is 'asinine' and calling someone an ass was generally meant to describe them being kind of a jerk because, let's face it, as a species donkeys are kind of a bunch of jerks.
If I had to take a guess as to where it came to also mean posterior, I would probably say that it was a linguistic mutation of the British 'arse' which came from a source I'm too tired to guess at the etymology of.

I got bored and typed th question into google, ended up on the wikipedia page for donkey.
Apparently the name donkey actually came later, the 18th century, and they were called ass before that, and their scientific name is Equus africanus asinus, so maybe it's the Roman's fault they were called asses.
Then again, this is wikipedia, so who knows if any of that's remotely accurate
