Hello all.
Not. A. Sports. Fan. Yet being a long time Chicago area resident (practically all my life, except for five years in MN), and with three siblings who are Northsider fans (fiends? my second sister is certainly one), I find myself staying up after work (got off at 10 pm), finishing off a bottle of Velvet Devil Merlot while watching the extra innings of the World Series Game Seven,
This is a knock-down, drag out fight between two apparently very good teams. And I, for one, is saying I don't care who wins as long as both teams fight for the prize. Evidently they heard my comment this morning, for that is exactly what is happening right now.
Yet I hope the Cubs win.
And they did, as I typed this.
GO CUBS! YOU GOT THIS! FINALLY!!!!!

Maybe it´s extra "innits"? You know, "It´s cloudy in England, innit?"
Just in plural
Callidus Thorn

The other problem is that, being British, the word "cubbies" in DR's pic just suggests a niche or nook for putting stuff in

Speaking of England´s weather; what´s it like there today, Thorny?
Callidus Thorn

Blueish skies, looks like we've got some halfhearted cloud cover that can't pull itself together, and sunshine.
No frost this morning, but we had one yesterday

Nov 3 2016, 09:48 AM

Congrats to HER and all the Cubs Fans!!!!
The mainstream news showed heaps of the video here in Australia. I saw that it even had a rain delay. Looks like it was a fantastic close series.
We had the Bulldogs win in the AFL (the first since 1954). We all thought that was amazing.
But-
1908.

This. I will always love Oblivion, it will always be the first game I ever loved THIS deeply. I have moved on, but do still enjoy turning it on and taking Maxical around to visit a few friends. Hearing her sing while she walks, etc - it is like coming home.
I have even gone in game and started over again at the sewer exit and run the quests again, or even just got in there and threw together another house mod - but not often. The technology has been surpassed, like Morrowind's. The games just were so great for touching hearts; roleplay; etc. They will always hold a special place in my heart.
Unfortunately; Skyrim never gave me that warm fuzzy feeling, but it was obviously a great game for many others - just never touched me. And now I'm VERY hooked on ESO, and it feels like the old games but with today's technology; which is everything I always wanted (Morrowind with current graphics/combat/animations/etc abilities).

Oh don't worry, I'll have time to play it soon. Eben though I'm building a PC for Skyrim, the missus has already ordered the Sims 4. I'll have many nights where she is hogging the computer, and vanilla Skyrim just won't be the same.
I think the last time I played, I was making my way down to a lodge in the south.

Morrowind is to Khajiit what Oblivion is to you. It was so magical when this one first played it. One time, Khajiit was lost for hours in the Ashlands searching for a specific cave that a quest had sent me to. When finally found, it felt like a real accomplishment.
