Thanks same here happy.gif. I'll get Geek Squad to look it over before we leave to make sure all the electronics are working and everything's going to work. If all checks out this should be a REALLY good gaming PC from what I've heard.

Hmm, I don't recall that, although several of us left from there to here in March 2010 after a particularly fan-fic unfriendly format change to the forum there. I've not been back since then.

I used the bethsoft forums until they moved over to the new ones. I registered to save my name from impersonators, and then really haven't been back. I've gone to look occasionally for tech support but it's not the same. There's massive favoritism and the mods are all tools.

But no, I don't remember that one. I don't remember much from over there. I didn't join until like 2011 though when Skyrim launched. or thereabouts. Heard about Chorrol from Kane and Miro on another forum.

As an aside, I'm making cookies, and my in laws should be getting flowers today.

Oh and I hope the PC works out this time. I've had nothing but bad luck with Best Buy and it's so called Geek Squad that I learned how to do it myself. ><

I don't remember all the details and I can't find any of the threads from it, but without naming any names, the user was originally believed to have passed away from cancer sometime prior to 2009. Then a new user popped up who had supposedly inherited the deceased's PC, with the same IP and even the previous user's cookies.

The guy started out normal, but over time his mastery of the English language got inexplicably worse and worse until it was barely understandable, with the stated reasoning being that they weren't a native English speaker. I don't know what was the tipping point, but I believe that after looking at all the evidence such as their strangely worsening grammar, their backstory, and their IP addresses, the moderators must have decided that their story didn't add up and concluded that the new user was in fact the old user under a new name, and had faked his old forum identity's death in hopes of becoming an Easter egg in the next TES game, like the three unique ashes honoring deceased forum-goers in Morrowind, or like Immok the Slayer would later be memorialized in Skyrim.

I got most of my information from a Mount and Blade forum thread where one of the Bethesda moderators visited and explained the charade, since they believed the person had pulled the same stunt on those forums too. Unfortunately that thread doesn't seem to exist anymore.

That wouldn’t surprise me if it was true. People will go to great lengths for such things.

Well got my new Gaming PC in and took it to BestBuy's GeekSquad to get it upgraded to the best high middle tier gaming pc yet. I will return to PCOlympus and hopefully stay there this time!

Once my new PC gets out of the shop I got a 4TB external HDD ready for it. We're going to be gaming for sure IPB Image.

I get my Gaming PC back tomorrow the Oculus Quest 2 has its own OS and hub so you can buy apps for it without the need of a PC but you need at least have a cellphone to register it. My favorite apps are Contractors, Gun Club (this is a REALLY nice app for gun lovers), Star Wars Tales from Galaxy Edge and Star Wars Vador Immortal Episodes 1-3.

The Oculus Quest 2 is really worth having and I can't wait to get Myst for it IPB Image .
