Actually, it's only supposed to be had today. Although because bakeries want to make money for some reason they start selling them as early as January I think. So it's not really a season of semlas, merely a season of greed.

Same as any other Christian country (which theoretically doesn't include the US of A). The pre-Lent season starts after Jan 6th and ends on Fat Tuesday. Semlas as supposedly a one-day thing, but it's evolved into a tuesdays-only thing throughout the season, and more likely a today-only thing if you want one.
I shall be giving up moderation tomorrow.

Thinking of getting a moped license. Hearing conflicting reports on if there's a road test though. I mean how the heck would that work?
You just drive and someone drives behind you to see if you screw it up. Like getting a MC license. Don't know if they do it though.
