I have a solution for you.
If you can’t cool the house down….cool yourself down!
This works:
1. Stop moving about.
2. Strip off and lie down
3. Mist your body head to toe with a plant sprayer filled with water
4. Set a desk cooling fan or similar, to gently blow over you evaporating the water off your body.
It will cool you right down.
The fan is usually more than you need…the spraying alone is normally enough.

Well, all I can say is I have never had a problem spraying/misting over myself. Doesn’t have to be a plant sprayer…any spray bottle will do once cleaned out and filled with plain water. Plus you don’t have to lie down for it to work of course…I just meant to be relaxed. So an armchair or recliner would do. Even while watching tv.
If someone else sprays you with cool water…it comes as a shock and a sharp intake of breath….amusing though it is attacking each other with water sprayers (It’s a hoot).
The essential point is wetting your skin so the evaporation cools you. A fan speeds it up, but can get just too cold…

The last place my parents lived at I custom made a screen door for them. Not sure what to do with it now as I don't think it fits anywhere else.
I could use something like that. Hell, even quarter inch wire mesh. I need airflow and can't let the cat out so we never open our door.
Our house came with old screening. I took out the old screens and purchased some collapsible window screens to replace them. They have worked out great. I'm sure they must have something similar in other countries too.

It's cute. I played wow at launch. I waited HOURS to get in. They'll survive.

I've not played FFXIV, but it's pretty fascinating watching WoW being dethroned. It goes to show what a developer like Square Enix can accomplish when they listen to criticism and learn from their mistakes.

I've always said the only thing that'll kill wow is wow itself.

The community is being ruined by the newcomers acting like Californian moving to Texas. They're demanding the game be more like what they just left, and they're acting like they do there.

Hell, this is the game where players wil report you for suggesting they use certain spells....
WoW players are just making it worse. I'm afraid of what's happening on the JP servers. Their culture clashes with the west to begin with.

They play the game differently than we do. They're very much a get in, get it done, respect others' time type. They use a tool that lets you manually from groups for practice runs, so that when you use the automated matchmaking service, you already know what you're doing and not wasting people's time.
In the West, it's the exact opposite, and you don't recommend the matchmaking for hard content, like the Japanese do.
They hate that Australian players play on their data centers too, because they play like Americans and not Japanese, don't speak Japanese, and just culture clash, but they won't say anything, they're too polite to.
