While I'm using my actual real name...And no, McBadgere isn't actually my name...I've yet to input where I live, what school I went to etc...I say I'm married, but not to whom or the actual date...So it's easy enough to protect your privacy, just don't tell them your stuff!!... biggrin.gif ...And the whole thing's set to public...

It's probably the most boring FB page anyways...Created for a single purpose, the complete annihilation of mankind...Oh no...That's the Uruk-hai...Um...Yeah...So boring...

Oh, neither are there any pictures on there with any family members on there...

I'm not worried about anyone happening across it...That doesn't mean I'm gonna friend just anyone though... tongue.gif ...

As I keep saying about this surveillance stuff...If you don't do anything wrong, why are you worried about what THEM read or keep or see or know about you?...

By knowing where you live, what you do, who you are related to, what web pages you visit etc etc, they can keep you under control. Look how they did it in DDR. They've actually found out terriost plots...BUT the CIA and FBI for some reason or another didn't crack down on these plots for some reason,now that's a bit weird.

I've walked past however many CCTV cameras; had a bazillion phone calls; sent texts and emails...Look at the posts here that I've done...I used to be worse on some of the other forums I've been on...Even the ones I was Global Mod on!... biggrin.gif ...

Yes, the Stasi and *Insert secretive government agency here* aren't going to be anyone's friend...But half their power comes from the fear of them...

I maintain, if you don't do anything wrong, you've got nothing to worry about...All they'll have is a load of Spam to wade through...

Plus, it helps if you don't have a webcam, satnav or GPS enabled phones... biggrin.gif ...

That is so true. Most people really didnīt have a Stasi file on them. But the point is they thought they had and thatīs how they controlled people.

No, they won't...Not for me...Because, firstly, they need someone to make some sort of accusation...Then, because it's so easy to do these days...They'll check up on you...

I look up all sorts of bad stuff. It's ALL for writing purposes, but most if it never makes it to the page. I've looked up body disposal techniques, places of major arteries, how to maim with knives, etc etc. It's ALL for writing, too. I'm not abthreat, but who's to say they don't catch me surfing a site looking on how much force it takes to decapitate a human and go "Yep. She's bad. Get her."

Maybe, but like I said earlier...Before they come and get you, they'll look at what you do elsewhere first...And now there's that post...And, presumably, these facts come from legit websites like Wikipedia and stuff...I dunno...

I still think you're all being paranoid...

And I dunno about the government where Mirocu is, but I'm living in a Democracy, and America's supposed to be the land of the free and all that...First Amendment or something like that?...

Any genuinely innocent person who has ever been driving down the street and had a police car pull in behind them and linger there any amount of time can tell you how innaccurate your reply is, lol.

I don't care if you just came from sainthood, a cop in your rearview mirror makes your heart climb in your throat, and if he lingers more than a few seconds you begin sweating bullets, slow down and speed up, begin missing pedestrians by inches because your eyes are in the rearview mirror so much; and eventually begin swallowing hard and shaking like a leaf if they remain there.

Actually, I did have this happen to me a couple of weekends ago...We were on the way to the cinema and a bike pulled out behind us...I clocked him, watched him...And as the lights came on, I swore loudly and complained in a most vociferous manner...And used all of my Actor Training™ luvvie to bring it back to a smile and "What is it officer?"...

He then informed me that I had two out of the three brake-lights out...He handed me a Ģ30 on the spot fine...(which I paid when we got home)...And...Right, we found, between us, the bent metal switch plate which had been the cause of the lights' ruin in the first place...

And yet...he was only doing his job...If you drive properly, unless there's a problem with the car...Even if they pull you over, if all your insurance and tax and whatnot are how they're supposed to be in the first place...What is everyone worried about?... laugh.gif ...

Trust me, Liz. With the video I've searched up, stuff I research, stuff I write and study, I'd probably be in prison for life if that was the case. But you have nothing to worry about. They wont barge in your home because.ofbthe things you search for on the internet . . Unless it is related to child pornography, then the piggies will come knocking. Everything else isnt an issue.

Same here, also for writing. If my husband ever turned up dead and they did a forensic hard drive check, I'd be sitting in jail, lol. They could pull up all kinds of research on poisons, the quickest way to cause lethal wounds with a dagger, etc; laugh.gif

Me too. But I've seen these news/court cases where someone has died in mysterious circumstances - the spouse's hard drive is always being dragged in as evidence. Like Liz, mine would be like a giant arrow pointing to me being guilty of something, when all it was equaled to just trying to write more accurate and believable kills for the story, ROFL !!
