So far I'm enjoying my new home in Kansas and even enjoying my first storm in my new home...though its a bit quieter then listening to the rain hit the metal roof for that relaxing sound.

Love the new place and living in a small town, the only cons are:
1: Massive high winds- It's almost the norm here in the northern part of Kansas as its mostly flat with very little hills and trees to block it.
2: Going to a near by Walmarts is a small road trip in itself.
3: No McDonalds or Brums! But there is a Dairy Queen "near" where I'm at.

Azur lane is about Anamorphic Battleships in an alternate WWII scenario and this character whose suppose to be a warship---doesn't know how to swim?! That's like an airplane that doesn't know how to fly!

Oh, the usual. Arguing with people about rent.
Is that a usual thing for you? I just pay and look grumpy
These people think it needs to be cheaper to free.
I could have cheaper rent if my landlord didn't spend so much money on unnecessary upgrades. Just now some screen was installed in my lobby. It has an interface that lets someone "log in". It's been up for a few weeks and I still don't know what the heck it's for. But I do know it cost to put up and that cost is put on my rent.

People just don't get how much it costs to upkeep a property. Not just stupid stuff like that unknown screen, but most houses for rent have repairs, general maintenance, and insurance to pay. On top of the damage caused by kids/pets that exceed the deposit.
It's not cheap. I couldn't even get enough per month for our house to cover it is we tried to rent it out.

Decided to shut down the PC early tonight, select a new book to read on the Kindle, and retire to the sofa for the night. Except no sooner had I fired up the Kindle than it flashed a LOW BATTERY message at me. Sure enough, it was at 10%. Not enough to make it through the night and during whatever reading I'll get in tomorrow morning before breakfast. Since I haven't yet bought a wall adapter for the Kindle, I returned to the PC, fired it up, plugged in the Kindle, and have been putzing around on the web ever since. Instead of retiring early, I'll retire appreciably later than usual. Which means I prolly won't get in much reading time before falling asleep.
Were my right hand not messed up, I might have elected to read a print book and hold off recharging the Kindle until tomorrow. As it is, I'm pretty much limited to Kindle reading for the near future. Therefore, here I sit until the Kindle's light changes from orange to green.

Now Tuesday morning, I survived my 'tragic' ordeal . . . LOL. I was right in that, by the time I retired to the sofa, I got in only a few minutes of reading (after having decided 'what' to read) before nodding off.

Back in the day we didn't need to charge our books, but we did need to look out for papercuts. I guess this is one of those swings and roundabouts

Which is why Nintendo doesn't include power adaptors when you buy a mini. It's like they think EVERYBODY has a smartphone that came with an adaptor.

No cable now. They're super thin, she probably bit it in half inone chomp.
And most chargers these days are bricks you plug the USB transfer cable into.
I'm quite surprised they cheaped out.

Well, I may have figured out what that screen in my lobby is for. It might have to do with the new washing machine room they built this year. I think you use it to book one of the machines. It's like that in my brother's place.
