Hmm, seems there aren't too many of them around. It is a fairly specialised practice, I believe at last count there were only twenty-five certified internet mime translators, so the odds were pretty slim.

Courtesy of my Great Grandparents I have German and Swedish blood. Which makes me neutral on that front.
Besides Vikings were awesome, and runes were present in England before the Vikings went a-Viking. We even had our own Futhark/Futhorc.

One of the lists - commonly used words like "the" and "and" skew the usage, as hangman's using longer words, except when you're playing with really young kids. You need a list of frequency in words of x letters of more to do it scientifically. And then the language changes the frequency ...
