Saw a car-size vehicle at the intersection with several pulsing blue lights. People were standing next to it.

Those vehicles stayed there for ages. I nodded off at some point. Woke while still pitch dark. They were gone. But...several pickup trucks were paused on the road in front of my house. They didn't stay long.

When it finally became light enough to see I ventured outside. Saw no oddness anywhere nearby. No idea what might have happened, if anything, during the night.

Followup to this report. The late October Sunday night wake up was due to a house fire down the street. My understanding is that the residents weren't home, so no loss of life or bodily harm.

Strangely or not, last night I was again disturbed by pulsing light while lying down at day's end. Got up. Looked out window. What looked like an ambulance or two, at least one police car and a few assorted vehicles were parked on the street in front of my house. Watched a few minutes. Saw what appeared to be two policemen escort some fellow with hands somehow restrained toward their car. Too dark to notice details.
