I don't think her being executed would have been as big as a blow to American Pride, maybe to the women who idolized her but not the entire country, besides that would make the Pearl Harbor attack redundant.
Khajiit is not so sure. Unless we are just so familiar with her because of her disappearance, it seems like a pretty big fuss was made over her
before she went missing. If this is true, then the Japanese would have known who she was, and would've made it known they had her. This is just conjecture on Khajiit's part, of course.

Evenin' all
Sup Thorns?! Stayin' frosty over there?
If only. It's even warmer than it was yesterday. According to the weather forecast it'll be cooler over the weekend though, so that's something.
Lol, Khajiit would like for you to come here! Then you'd see it's not so bad where you are!

Only problem Khajiit sees with that theory is that we weren't at war with either country until late 1941. Now that said, it's possible she was imprisoned then executed after war was declared, but then you'd think they would want to politicize her execution, turning it into a "blow to the morale" of the American people.

I looked at the picture, and I think it is proof that Elvis didn't die. He traveled back in time to the South Pacific. Or maybe it is Jesus. Seriously, it could be anyone in that picture.
Khajiit was thinking the hair of the person in question in that pic was a little too dark, but then there was a pic of her with darkish hair, so, who knows? They won't be able to prove it conclusively in any case.
