Yes, they can broadside a dog and pop their heart even at under 20 pounds and no tusks. They are wicked, and we have a lot of them wild in the mountains here.

Boars can be a common thing in the backwoods of Kentucky. They're mean too, especially when they're cornered. Bastards will do whatever it takes to escape, if you can even manage to corner them.

Where I live borders Kentucky, we've got a LOT of them. I've been scared nearly to peeing my pants twice by running into them while camping and hiking. (and a few more times by running into black bears, lol).

By the way, the first picture of a dog in a tree = Boo Boo's grandfather, the late Crane Strike 2 (Double Ott Catahoula) - he was 15' up in that tree.
He is also the dog on the hog - the one with the balls on the right; and is also the one facing down the cow.
The second dog in the tree is Boo Boo's other grandfather, Stones Throw's Colby G, (the former Cowhouse Catahoula).
The dog hearding the horse = my stud dog's grandmother, CH Sweitzer's Roux (Double Ott Catahoula)
(My dog's bloodlines are outstanding).
