I have a unique blend of skills for my line of work. Typically guys are either a locksmith (mechanical) or an access control tech (electrical). I'm both, which is how I landed a cushy university job at only 26.
The guys I used to work with that were mechanical only are all in there 50's and still are road techs.

Locksmithing is actually quite easy to pick up. Access Control, a little less so.

We're all scared that if the coyotes would attack and kill a 65 pound Labrador Retriever that it would happily kill a hundred pound woman, even if she is holding a gun. So we have all been hiding in our houses with our dogs until the darn things get cleared by the city patrols or go hibernate or something.
As for the black bears, they are a protected species and can't be shot. If they are harassing your home you have to call the park rangers to come scoop them up in their trucks with cages. They bring them a long way away from people; tag and release them. They keep a log of all tagged bears and their infractions. If they attack a human they are usually put to sleep despite being a protected bear.

Bears = urk, yes we do have bears. They are very scary when they wake up hungry from their hibernation, they come into towns and break into houses, cars, etc. for food. Thanks....I enjoyed The Resident Evil series up to 5 and oddly enough I did enjoy 5 and used Sheeva mostly as a walking ammo box, once she got the stun rod, that's all she used
