I can speak for the wolves; I used to rent an apartment on a wolf sanctuary out closer to Treydoggie's area. They have a hauntingly beautiful sound that becomes a part of your soul; and rather than disturb your sleep, you tend to sleep better. It feels like you are a part of them and they are a part of you.
Bears = urk, yes we do have bears. They are very scary when they wake up hungry from their hibernation, they come into towns and break into houses, cars, etc. for food. They do have bear attacks here, but have a very adept department of Forest Rangers in handling things. I have seen how quick and thorough they are when a bear has become aggressive.
Here is a vid of them coming out in the spring - now picture children getting off a school bus and having to walk to their house with these hungry bears roaming around:

Carrying my scope outside at 1 am and suddenly- BAM- from the blindside. Either bear, wolf, coyote, mountain lion. No Thanks! I will stay here where I can easily wrestle those wild possums to the ground.
Take good care of your dogs, mALX. Those coyotes sound mean and very hungry...
