I've not written anything but notes for nearly two weeks, worldbuilding and so on. A whole mess of stuff rattling around inside my head, but there's a few holes that I need to patch up. The ideas and inspiration are in there somewhere, I just need to find a starting point. Once I get that first sentence, the rest will write themselves.
But that first step's a real doozy...

Oh, I know that one...

...In the midst of much the same meself, for no fathomable - from a writing standpoint - reason as it really will be little use to the thing I'm putting it in...But
I have to know how it all works...

Write something that you KNOW has to be in there. It may not be the beginning, but it is A beginning. Then figure out how you (and the readers, and the characters) got there.
Words on paper (or screen) are the key when you are stuck. You have notes- write the "connective tissue" that pulls those notes together.
Whatever you do, please do not put yourself into the corner of "this has to be the best opening ever." What do you want the reader to know- what do you want them to wonder about- what has already happened- what is about to happen?
I know that one too!!...
I had this awesome idea for a Sci-Fi thing, a while back...Massive opening bit, which I might have actually managed to finish...for once...Plotted it out, loads of characters...As is my wont...

...Fantastic it was...Well, at least in my head it was...

...Anyways...Awesome start, plotted to the end of said opening...Massive thing happens and then...I realised I didn't
actually have a plot to follow it...
So yeah...Make sure there's a point to it
before you start properly...

...
Oh, and I started something...Then added another bit that was started earlier...Then another bit...And then got completely lost...
My ADHD knows no bounds...
