And yeah, London definitely has its own microclimate. Combination of all the buildings and the cars warms everything up by a few degrees.

For once we're getting away with it 'cause there's a bunch of mountains south of us to take some of the power out of the wind...

I saw a weather report (not the band) last night which said that all these storms and lows we're getting are basically the same ones that the US are having...So all we have to do is keep asking Kobby what his weather is, and we've got an instant advanced forecast!!... biggrin.gif ...

Can I just...?

Whenever someone makes a boob joke, or a butt joke, to me, about me, or around me, it sort of makes me feel like guys see women as an assemblage of body parts meant for gratification instead of an entire person with their own mind.

Granted, I doubt anyone here is that purposely sexist. And I can admit that being a woman attracted to other women, I too am guilty of seeing body parts only from time to time. But please remember that there's a person behind each joke you make. I go through every day of work having men and women alike joke about my breasts and their size. Them being on the larger side, and having so much attention drawn to them causes me to feel like people only see me as a walking pair of, well, knockers.

I already addressed this to mirocu, and though he has yet to respond (Him going to bed shortly after I typed out the message) I'd like to think that we will come to an understanding, and the topic will be dropped.

Boobs are great. I agree. But there's more to a girl than a set of breasts, just like there's more to a man than his manly bits between his legs.

And even if you don't find the joke inherently wrong, I'm letting y'all know that each joke about a woman's parts, mine or anothers', kind of hits home for me. I try to not let it get to me, and even join in sometimes, but there's always that little twinge of disappointment when seeing a joke like that.

And I would much, much rather let my feelings be out in the open than grumbling to myself.

Don't let me stop you from making jokes,and don't be afraid to have fun, just keep in mind that some jokes are triggers for individuals. What mirocu said wasn't even all that bad. But before it gets any worse, I'd like to just nip it in the bud.

I don't like standing on a soapbox, so I try to keep it private and between myself and whomever I'm disagreeing with, but since this is the second occurence, I might as well let everyone know my feelings on the matter.

I couldn't stop laughing.

Neither of them had ever even used a touch screen phone, so they were terrible.

Now, that's pretty normal for me when I want to do something with hobby-type stuff...However, I've got the lurgy (well yeah, week off and all that) so I'll be honest...Dad-nappin will begin very soon I think... laugh.gif ...

It's 6am and Daughter is squealing about her Hatsune Miku statuette we got her and Boy is head down and making very loud noise with his Faux-Mega-Drive handheld thing...It's pretty amazing what they can do now...(That's not all we got them btw...Just in case you thought we were mega stingy tongue.gif )...

Sooooo, time to start cooking dinner yet?... biggrin.gif ...
