Many meanings throughout the years. Originally work by Russian Sailors meaning that they would destroy something as beautiful as a Rose to defend their ships.
Later adopted by Prison Gangs to denote a Hitman/Contract Killer (Ollllllden Days, sees no use now due to decades of decoding)
And, it means many things to me personally. The Black Rose is symbolic of Death/Change in the tarot sense, not necessarily macarbre. And my life changed with the Death of a loved one, my stepfather. Thus the cycle of death and rebirth.
The Dagger is often associated with the Assassin, and in my fan-fic, I 'discovered' that aspect of myself, being both my dark side and creative.
It's often been linked to ancient rituals and spirituality, and I believe that Discretion is the better part of Valor. As in do the right thing, because it's the right thing, not to be vainglorious.

When I got my molar pulled, the dude gave me like five injections in my gum. On the same spot. He didn't even wait long enough for my gum to numb completely and pulled the tooth. My mouth was numb for the rest of the day

I'm a puker too, dentists don't like to see me sit in their chair unless I'm knocked out before they walk in. I've slept for 12 hours after several dentist visits they used so much junk on me: Valiums, Phenergan, some kind of knock out gas, etc.

They gave me the gas when I went in to have my wisdom teeth cut out. Then the nurses plugged an IV in my arm and started talking to each other, just ignoring me. I was like 'Hey, I'm right he-' and then I was out.

When I was pregnant, I had so many bruises and needlemarks on my arm from them checking my blood (I gained almost 100 lbs in a month and they were trying to figure out why) that when I had my emergency c-section, one of the nurses looks at me and goes "Do you use heroin?"
I looked at her and said "Do I LOOK like a heroin user?!"
I feel bad for snapping NOW, but when you're in labor, you kind of lose all care for others' feelings XD

My body was fine with the pregnancy at first, until I went into labor. My blood pressure dropped and I started bleeding pretty badly. I had what is called a Placental abruption, whih basically means the placenta, the thing that kept Snuggles alive, got torn somehow and Snuggles started dying, and almost took me with him.
