The way I figure is, this is a forum where there are threads to answer...
One unavoidable consequence of replying to said threads is that our post count goes up each time...Yes, take away this spam thread and our post-count drops dramatically...
I once totally quit a forum - and no, this won't work twice
...There were other issues with that other place anyways - because the people who'd been the top two posters kept taking pot-shots at the way I had risen through the Top 10 to almost the top in a few months...And as I said to them, it's not like I'm doing anything special...The threads were there to answer...They had a Word Games thread which was pretty self-explanatory...Spam to the power of infinity, basically...So because I answered so many threads, my post count went up astronomically fast...
If our post-counts, for whatever reason, are really a problem...Then either this Spam thread (the source of the runaway posts) needs to go...Or the Leaderboard needs to go...I know which would be the best one to do so...
...EDIT!!...I've just had a thought...A fair amount of my posts come from commenting on and encouraging other people's writing...So it's not all bad...
