I hate having sore throats! Sneezing I can handle, coughing I can deal with but I HATE it when my throat gets score making swallowing difficult. Anyway my remedy for score throats is Orange Juice, the acid and Vitamin C helps kill off the infection and shrinks the recovery time by a lot.

I'm thirsty but can't drink water because of the pain when swallowing. I can down hot beverages though.
My best remedies for it is sitting over hot water with a towel over my head. Loosens a lot of gunk. The second thing is gargling with saltwater as I believe that has an effect on germs.
I pretty much take vitamin C on a daily basis but for this thing it wasn't enough

Didn't have a choice. I simply couldn't stand up for long anyway, much less doing work. Even just driving to work would have been too much.
