One would think so. Just tell them to use an internal combustion engine, rather than the heart of a god.

Same. Although a part of this one wouldn't mind a spin off TES game set in a steampunk Tamriel.

Raven speaks well. Magic renders gunpowder useless, IMO.

Thing about the Dwemer that baffles Khajiit is how come after thousands of years no one has figured out how to replicate their technology? That is, we know people in Tamriel have been studying them.
mirocu

It has crossed my mind as well. But I just chalk it up as no one bothers since they have magic
TheCheshireKhajiit

Khajiit is not so sure. He would think an army of animunculi would be of great value on a battlefield.

Well, some of it does resist examination rather strenuously. And most of those interested in the Dwemer seem to be mages, at least, of those we come across in the games. A combination of arrogance and a strictly academic viewpoint seem likely candidates.
And there's always the fact that the bigger question regarding the Dwemer is what happened to them.
mirocu
Nov 18 2016, 09:03 PM
But a person can have Resist or Absorb Magic. Not sure machines can.
Something just crossed my mind. Since enchantments can be used, can big machines be enchanted with Resist Magic too or are they too big and would require too much energy for the process?
TheCheshireKhajiit
Nov 18 2016, 09:05 PM
Hmmm, interesting question. Perhaps you could enchant each component of the machine for a myriad of effects?
Another question regarding enchanting: who or what determines that only weapons and armor can be enchanted? Why can Khajiit not enchant a mug with cold resistance and make it keep hot drinks longer?

I don't see why not, from what I've seen in Elder Scrolls games magic is limitless and with help from Daedra anything is possible take the Kvatch Siege Machine for example, it was big and resisted magic and all it took to power it was a sigil stone.

Yeah, Khajiit is imagining an army of Dwemer marching across Tamriel, through ruined cities and fields strewn with corpses, all laid to waste by their vanguard of unstoppable Animunculi. You saw what they did to the Falmer, Khajiit thinks other races would suffer similar fates.

Khajiit was up till 4 am screwing around with the "create-a-fighter" on Soul Calibur V. Being up so late caused this one to wake up at 12 noon. Left the house to run errands (grocery, etc.) at 2:30pm and just got back. About to fire up the grill and cook some delicious salmon!
