Not really. The US at least used to have an English proficiency test. Did when my aunt got her citizenship (Costa Rica).
And I think Costa Rica has a language requirement too, my uncle is working on his citizenship now. Much of Europe has it too.
Right now, Sweden's requirements are:
Live here for X years(changes based on source of residence permit)
Have permanent residency
No criminal record
No unpaid debts
That's it.
