Thanks mALX!!
Those wolf vids are crazy. I see that they prefer to sing in a pair. One starts to slow down and then the other keeps the momentum going. Must be horrible trying to get sleep in the US countryside. Between the mountain lions and the wolves- how would you get any rest there?
And what about bears. Does America have many bears these days, or do they stay across the border in Canada?
Good thing our dangerous wildlife stays in the water. Except for those pesky snakes and spiders. And politicians of course.....
I can speak for the wolves; I used to rent an apartment on a wolf sanctuary out closer to Treydoggie's area. They have a hauntingly beautiful sound that becomes a part of your soul; and rather than disturb your sleep, you tend to sleep better. It feels like you are a part of them and they are a part of you.
Bears = urk, yes we do have bears. They are very scary when they wake up hungry from their hibernation, they come into towns and break into houses, cars, etc. for food. They do have bear attacks here, but have a very adept department of Forest Rangers in handling things. I have seen how quick and thorough they are when a bear has become aggressive.
Here is a vid of them coming out in the spring - now picture children getting off a school bus and having to walk to their house with these hungry bears roaming around:
