I wouldn't mind the fog if it didn't affect my asthma. I can normally tell if there's fog in the mornings before I even look out the window.
On a completely unrelated note: Reading a bit online aabout Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck. Madness.
Yeah this one bets fog is bad for asthma:(
I'm pretty sure British weather in general is bad for asthma

Christmas was good! Of course, these days we judge them by if we have to work or not, lol. This one will be working on New Year's Eve and Day but honestly, without an SO, we don't really give a [censored] about New Years Eve and Day.

Exactly! Here lately we have been going to bed at 3am local time (at the earliest; thanks ES:O!) so it's not really a big deal.

Ja, usually Khajiit starts late. On days when this one is working, he generally plays from around 11am through around 1:30pm and then when he gets home from around 12am-2:30 or 3pm. On days he is off he usually plays for longer stretches all during the day.

I've never been able to play any game for too long. Don't want to screw up my hands, particularly my thumbs, since my mum's side of the family has a tendonitis issue. Hasn't affected me in the slightest thus far, but there's no reason to take the risk if all I need to do is limit the length of my gaming sessions.

Remembering to limit myself when I get back to playing in the new year is going to be
hard
Think I'll have to play a Nightblade in Skyrim, just to cover some of what I haven't seen.

Nightblades are one of Khajiit's favorite classes/playstyles. Love launching a fury spell and mopping up the victors with a sword.

Yes, it is. Asthma and ear infections are much worse in climates that have a heavier fog and/or more frequent fogs. ETN where I live has them too; so did the area of Germany I lived in - in fact, in Germany the fog was so heavy it would freeze in the winter, making everything look like a winter wonderland. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my life.

Wandered into town today on the way up to my mum's, picked up Nightwish's Wishmaster album. Then ordered a couple more online(Wishmaster was the same price on Amazon as it was in HMV, so I figured there was no reason to wait), but they won't arrive 'til tuesday at the earliest.

Nah, I don't tend to do anything for new years beyond being awake for it. There was talk of a thing 'round at my mum's but my sister's been ill since the day after the family gathering, so that put a stop to that.
Besides, the last time I was setting off fireworks(a few years back at my mum's for bonfire night) had certain consequences I've no interest in repeating.

I wouldn't really call that a Jeff Goldblum quote. Sure, he says it, but it's just a single word. Nothing special, especially considering some of the lines he's had in his films.
