Most of the character names in She-Ra where puns lol. To bad the new show isn't well liked by old fans (including myself). I mean the new show's not complete garbage and could be saved with better writers and or better directors but if Mattel's not going to jump on this show...yeah there's something to the Netflix She-Ra that's not setting well.

The new She-Ra's art style is a massive turn off. She looks male. And they did it on purpose.
Animation quality in general has taken a dump in the past few decades sadly.
I had a lot of He-Man/She-Ra toys as a child. My favorite was the horse. Lol.

I liked the new She-Ra, especially how she and the other characters are drawn. They are of all shapes and sizes and colors. Not the typical hyper-sexualized masturbation fantasies female characters usually are, in anime or live-action.
Too hard to make a good Sonic game, so let's make a Sonic movie!
To be fair, the poster is literally the only thing we've seen so far. Hard to judge off of that. That being said, it's Sonic, so it is unlikely to be good (not really because of Sonic himself, but because of people making the stuff on him). It's also a video game movie. But you never know. I hear Sonic Mania is good, but I haven't played it.
I just find his proportions off in this poster. Those legs seem way too big.
But yeah, this isn't going to ruin Sonic's image. I mean, there is already so much that should have ruined Sonic's image at this point, but it seems like little damage has been done to the brand. Even if this movie turns out to be crap, I doubt it will do serious damage to the franchise long-term.

The new She-Ra....I'm torn on. The "overtones" are to high (which is probably why Mattel's not touching it) and could use a tone down. I hated what they did to Sea Hawk basically went from swashbuckler to Freddie Mercury pretending to be a pirate. Anyway there's other issues but I'll refrain from that here, I don't want to start an argument.
Do I see any good in the show?
I see potential in the show and if given a chance I or a good director or writers who's familiar with the MOTU lore with some liberties taken, could turn the show around.
The art direction doesn't bother me one bit, I even love the new redesign of Adora, Catra (specially Catra) and Shadow Weaver. Hell I really enjoyed Glimmer and Hordak.
In total the show's not really good for classic She-Ra fans like myself, there are some redeeming factors but as is..eh---I give it 3 stars out of 5.
I remember 2003. The skies were high, everyone walked around without ear buds and in the news we could read about the lack of popcorn in Papua New Guinea.

I don't really care about hypersexuality but I would prefer if my women look like women, not prepubescent boys.
It's not just her body. Her face is incredibly masculine as well.
But as mentioned earlier, I'd rather not start an argument either. It's definitely not for old school fans.
And I don't really like anime much. Got some exceptions(Hellsing Ultimate for example, despite Sir Integra looking more androgynous than I'd prefer).

I do just go there for the wings mostly because Buffalo Wild Wings are TO spicy for me to eat. Then again my local Walmart deli has some ranch flavored wings and those when fresh are to die for.

I had a similar experience but it was at a pizza place near my family's house. Not a chain, and it only has 1 or 2 establishments at most. I'm more into medium wings now, but I used to be all about the hot wings, so I got some there. But these weren't just hot wings, no no no. These wings had solar flares taken from the sun and slathered onto them. I was already sweating and hurting after 2 or 3 wings.
But like an idiot, I felt like I had to finish them (had to be manly, I guess). So I did. When we stopped at a Target to get some stuff afterward...well...let's just say my body showed how much it hated me for a good half-hour.
Anyway, I really like Buffalo Wild Wings. If it was just one time, I think you should try it again.
Though I've complained about can't handle spicy wings (or foods very well) a former friend of mine decided to try at the time Hooters hottest wings. The 911 (the emergency number 911 not 9/11 as in NYC if you know what I mean). You can feel the heat from feet away, just looking at that red glazed sauce filled me with fear. Well we ate them all but they were so hot my eyes dilated and my mouth felt like I had a beard of fire all around it. Though they where very spicy they where still edible. BWW chicken wings have been described as there mildest is compared to Hooters hottest, that's why I can't eat there.
BWW is definitely hotter than most, but the flavor is still really good, IMO. I can handle a lot of hot food, but I don't order anything hotter than Medium when I got to BWW.

I've never been able to eat hot food, it's just uncomfortable. Spicy doesn't agree with me, and in fact, it comes right back up so the burning happens twice.
That said, I've had no trouble with BWW. Never been to Hooters so I can't compare, but the wings I got at BWW ca. 2000 were *not* spicy in the least.
If we wanted spicy we hit up Quaker Steak and Lube up in Sharon and got the atomic wings. Husband at the time loved those.
