Sadly, that trailer is balls, as I'll be doing nothing of the sort that is shown there...So go find other videos to proper illustrate what Robert's going to be taken over by...

My confusion and brain-freezing terror stems more from the acquisition of said game from the website and the installation on the putie...Oh, and the initial key mapping that is required for all the controls of the game...Oh and the learning how to play the entire game that is superficially - or some level or other - similar to the previous game (Frontier: EliteII from '93-ish...) but is sooooo much more...Rather than anything...Oh...Wait... huh.gif ...

Thought it was that one. I still have the original game Elite, and the computer to play it on. (BBC model B with a monochrome amber monitor!)

Do you still get Thargoids?

As for the Thargoids...They disappeared for Frontier, but came back for the third game (First Encounters) but they are back in some form or another for this one...And though there's no direct "Quest" to do with them as such, you can be part of something going on with them...

And if that sounds vague, it's because I haven't read up enough to do with that bit of it... laugh.gif ...Just some stuff in the FAQ on their site...

Same here! Somehow I can get rich very quickly in games, make craploads of money/Septims/bottlecaps - would be really nice if I could do that in real life, laugh.gif

There was a point where I just completely ignored the email address that this place is - amongst other places - linked to...

When I finally went back to it, and am now using it every day again...But not for typing emails...For some reason it likes to time out mid-writing...*Fac-e-palm*...

*Cough*...Aaaamywho...When I finally went back after a looooong while...There was around 4000 unread emails in it...

I've just looked at the trash-can thing...It currently has 2106 emails in it... biggrin.gif ...There is a reason why the increase, but bloody hell it took ages to delete the 4000 at 25 per go... laugh.gif ...

I know MP's can be weird, I've voted for some of them myself, but this case is extreme.

Gotta love the Conservative Party. The most mediocre minds of the 18th century. They'd be a joke if they weren't running the country. There's reams of evidence that they're completely out of touch, with reality as a whole these days, and yet people still vote for them wacko.gif

Presumably next he'll be saying that cancer is caused by witches, that doctors aren't prescribing nearly enough leeches, and that people should pray rather than see a doctor.


And yes, the Monster Raving Loony Party are still around. Though comparatively speaking they're not nearly as mad as they used to be. laugh.gif

Don't knock the leeches. They do actually have a legitimate medical purpose, in draining blood from congested areas. There's something in their saliva that prevents clotting, and it's much easier to get it fresh!

A friend had leeches attached to his ear after it was almost severed in a road accident, they kept the blood flowing and help it heal. Painless and effective.

Leeches and bloodletting can go far to help in the treatment of heavy metal poisonings in people, seriously. The early doctors discovered a relief and renewed energy in women they bloodlet; their only problem was in thinking it was a cure-all for everything.

Had the worst night's sleep last night, only got 2 hours of shut-eye... and I have a test at Uni in half an hour. The gods are not smiling on me today. ph34r.gif

On a lighter note, I'm going back home for 5 days this afternoon so I can relax and get back to my usual lazy self. happy.gif

Test went ok i think. It's for my shorthand class which is pretty much the only thing i'm good at tongue.gif only 2 or 3 more tests to go, then a final exam in May. Then I do it all again next semester, and again for each of the 3 semesters after that!

Glad to be going home, haven't seen my dogs for a few weeks. My mother too of course, but mainly the dogs biggrin.gif
