Don't think they lose much of their usefulness unless kept for a very long time, but you have a point. Why buy if you don't plan to use it? Then again, keeping some around can be a good idea. Don't wanna be out if SHTF

And I've heard varying reports of shooting decades old ammo. If it's been kept well, it fires np. One thing off kilter and it might misfire. Never fun. I liked to rotate my ammo stash. Shoot the old stuff first.

Two days off a week. Will probably work shorter shifts on Christmas and Christmas Eve though, unless I can work it to be off those days.
