I found some random pictures of Sweeden's countryside on Google Image. No Idea why there's an arrow there.

I'm just glad to find a video that shows you don't need to strip the whole thing but remove the lower receiver and get to oiling it from there, no need to completely take it apart unless you need to do a thorough cleaning but .22LR very seldom need that kind of vigorous cleaning unless it's after 1K rounds or more.

.22LR can be a bit dirty and cleaning it is good to make sure the autoloading works well. But yeah, anything beyond a boresnake is overkill as far as I'm concerned

A new adventure has begun. Today I began preparation for cataract surgery on my right eye next Wednesday the 22nd. It’s a fairly common procedure with a high 99% success rate. When it’s complete I should be able to read easily without sticking my nose on the page or zooming the screen up 200%.
So why am I worried, frightened more like it, that the one percent will leave me totally blind? In 1968 when I was 18 a virus (HSV-1) erupted on the left side of my face and eventually across the left eye. After six months (no one knew my name, I was the guy with the eye patch) of treatment I was left with worse than 20/200 vision in the left eye (can’t read the big E on the eye chart). I’ve had three episodes since the first the latest being in 2009. None were as bad as the first; knowing the early signs and newer treatments have helped with that.
Everything has been stable until this past year when in little over six months a cataract has bloomed in the right eye. No wonder it’s dark
Anyway, my surgeon has put me on valacyclovir as a precaution and if all goes well by the end of February I will be seeing as well can be expected. More importantly I’ll be able to speedily read all the great stories here at Chorrol.

Best of luck, macole. I had cataract surgery in one eye several years ago. Then just last year my other eye needed it as well. In both cases, vision in the effected eyes was returned to my normal better than 20/20 and both procedures/recoveries went smoothly. Mrs Acadian needed both hers done as well a few years ago. Hers was more complicated because the replacement lens (unlike mine) also included an adjustment to her normal somewhat faulty vision. Her procedures and recoveries went smoothly as well. What all four procedures shared in common as normal recovery was numerous followups with the doc and having to use several types of eyedrops several times a day for several weeks. Got really good at putting in eyedrops. Lol. Well worth it though, as with bionic lens replacement will not deteriorate and will last longer than we do.
