Fun fact: Ragnarök doesn´t actually mean the end of all things. It means the beginning of something new. Although, you can only get there by ending what´s currently in place which is why that word is associated with destruction.

It might lead to something new, but it is as much destruction as a new beginning.
It is in a sense an echo of the creation myth. Ice (static forces attempting to prevent change) meets fire (destructive force that results in change when it meets the ice) which leads to new creation.

No, Ragnarök isn´t about destruction, aka the last war between the gods and the giants, it´s about something new being created afterwards. I have a book about this, ya know

The general idea that it´s the name of the last war where everything gets destroyed is a big misunderstanding that is very hard to kill. The book clearly states this.

I'm not talking about the war, or at least not solely about it. As you said the new beginning can only be reached by ending what's currently in place. That means that destruction is a necessary component of that new beginning, so it can no more be cast aside than the new beginning can.
It's destruction and creation working in harmony as part of a larger cosmic cycle, resulting to the death and rebirth of the universe.

I see what you mean and I understand your point. But for the believers back in the day the word was associated with only the creation. Actually, I think they had a word for the final war too, but it´s only Ragnarök (the new creation) that got famous.

And here we see one of nature's most effective predators; the toddler. Indivually weak and easily handled, in packs they are virtually unstoppable, swarming victims and all but swiping the food from their mouths, then scattering in an attempt to look cute to deter pursuit. Between this and the fearsome protective instincts of their parents, toddlers have no natural predators, leaving them at te top of the food chain, and no effective defense against toddlers has ever been found, beyond using chairs of impractical height.
