Nice to see the new yet familiar from TESFU faces here at Chorrol.com. I guess Chorrol is my longest standing forums besides Elder Vaults, not counting TES official. But I've been a member here continuously since WaitingForOblivion and EV has gone down and up a few times since then. Anyway, welcome to eveyone new.
Minque I hope you and your family are doing well - I'm so sorry for your loss. I have exciting news, I have been made a Moderator of the Modding and Construction Set Forum at TESFU. Glad to hear there is a new writing contest for our budding writers here and very happy to hear that Doomie is in love and Milanius .. you are scaring me with your Gangrel Warform threats!

I think I was stood up today by the guy who wanted to take me to lunch.
I hope he hasn't decided to go back to his crazy ex girlfriend...
My life has been crazy as of late. It's hard to 'splain. Well, not really, but I don't feel like doing so right now.

I got the GOTY editon for Oblivion today. Woho! Shivering Isles is awesome (at least Mania). Since I've got the 360 version I've been worried if my old saves would work. Well, they did.
By the way, my grandfather's funeral is on Friday so I wont probably post anything between Thursday and Saturday.

yup...OB goty looks just fine, I watched Daedroth playing for a while....
And so the funeral is coming up, now I'll bring my Macbook so there's a slight chance we're online anyway now and then...
Oh...no not to the actual funeral I'm not bringing the mac....but we're spending some time at hotelrooms and so on

My thoughts will be with you Minque and Daedroth. As to the laptop at the funeral- I just can't help but feel the genesis of a "You might be an uber-geek if...." riff starting (a departure from the You Might be a Redneck....) Of course, as a lifelong Southerner, a number of those last apply to me.... Anyway, we will keep a table open for you guys near the fireplace. And some chocolate-covered doughnuts...

Sorry to hear that, Zarr. Guys aren't terribly bright most of the time. I stick to my belief that you should find someone who makes you laugh. That is probably the main reason Mrs. Treydog became Mrs. ... And it also probably why we are still together 19 years later.

Hey, if what he wants is to be with a domineering, unhinged, attention seeking nitwit - let him. Which is something you clearly are
not. There must be better options out there for you than that. Sorry to hear you're feeling down about it though, and I hope you pick up soon.

The dogwood and apple trees are in bloom here... massive eruptions of white blossoms. The redbuds are providing their lavender accent to the mix. And there is every probability we will have a frost Sunday or Monday, which will blight the blooms and prevent the apple trees from bearing fruit.... But today was a good day, working outside under blue skies. If I get off my lazy rear, I will try to post a pic of the original Treydog in the Real Pictures thread.

With a bit of luck (and hoarding of money) the start of this summer is gonna be awesome. Me and a bunch of the guys from college are gonna head to
Graspop in Belgium, where, among about 70 other bands, KISS, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Opeth and In Flames are gonna be playing over the course of three days. As well as that, we're gonna spend a couple of days in Amsterdam XD

Just kinda wanted to explain why I haven't posted as much lately. The obvious answer is the right one, real life has been keeping me away from the time I usually spend visiting here. I've noticed I got a lot of stories to catch up on and I'll have some time during my week break between exams in a couple of weeks. Next week I might have a bit more time on my hands since I won't be getting any homework before exams. We'll see though.
Oh yes! Symphony X were amazing live, everything sounded spot-on despite the fact that their vocalist claimed to be under the weather for the last few days. They basically packed the place where they performed.

I can describe a few things as cute: cats (I want to own one after school is behind me), dogs (not as much), and lots of other animals I have no intention of owning or living with but cute none-the-less. Just like you don't live under dozens of aliases (sp.) and have a silenced pistol on your belt, I'm not the embodiment of darkness in human form.
There's a difference between thinking something is cute and squelling like delighted girls (oh, the horror). Regardless, cute is not an uncommon description of that movie from what I've seen, I just share the sentiment.

Meh, I don't play any of the GTA games, I prefer war games to that stuff. Well, for the next 3 weeks I'm doing driver's ed. Hopefully, I won't get overwhelmed by finishing school and DE at the same time. My DE school is interesting, the guy is a collector so they're not a whole lot of space.
I am definitely getting one of the chairs by the table next time.

If all goes well, I'll be able to drive myself to and from school before my freshman years is over.

At least that's something to look forward to. Most other guys my age want some wicked awesome car for their first. I couldn't care less really, as long as it's not a piece of junk on wheels and it gets me to school and back, I like it.
Not only that, but I lack the seemingly innate need-for-speed that is expected of most first-time drivers.

Hehe, that made me feel a bit better

So today I had my very, extremely important exam which I have to pass in order to be allowed into the study of Sociology, and I'm pretty darn sure I flunked it. 4 topics, English, German, Math and Social science.
English and German were a breeze, math was tough, but I think I was able to get a good grade on it, I'd definitely prepared a lot for it. Social science though *sigh* I really think this went awful. And of course even if I get an A for English or even German, it doesn't mean one thing as I have to get a good grade for each of the four things. So now I have to wait up to two weeks to hear a result I already know, that I flunked.
Boy, I'm so annoyed/ disappointed right now.

I got nominated for American History class award (one of my friends got it so I'm glad for her), but I got awarded for best in Physical Education (technically I was a shoe-in because I only had to compete with only four other 8th graders that did PE again, lol).
I know I got commended preformance on all of my TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills) tests the only one I didn't get was math which I still passed. Enough about that, I hope you get another chance Alexander, and good luck to anyone else who hasn't taken their exams yet.

I think that sociology and social science students ought to be given automatic grades - because nowadays if you try to help somebody who is not a criminal and is actually making a positive contribution to society and really needs help then the fascisti accuse you of being a criminal, take away your funding, insist that you take part in a pogrom to remove other funding that those people rely on to survive and close down any associated projects to save money.
Why?
The fascisti are so culture impoverished themselves they can only feel secure if they personally destroy anyone who can produce superior work = anyone who is really hard up must have been put down by other fascisti as an enemy for achieving to much and so should be destroyed.
