The docs gave him some pills to take every twelve hours, for now. A neurologist is wanting to see Cliff when he can fit him in to perform a more in-depth "analysis".
So far though thing seem to be returning to normal, one helluva scare though, just hope that it stays this way.... Once again, I and my family thank you all for your concern and well wishing.
Edit: Oh, the docs said he has "Complex Seizure Syndrome", so yeah....

I do hope it is resolving itself or at least the medication does what it is supposed to do without a lot of unwanted side effects. I will continue to send good thoughts, problems like this are scary and precarious so just know we are all still here and with you and your family. I am just glad he is feeling better now, for him and for you guys.

Wondering where I've been?
Well, here, mostly. And here.Just as a forewarning, Skyrim's Creation Kit is A LOT more complicated than Oblivion's Construction Set. Basically no thought of streamlining workflow went into the tools whatsoever, because activities that once took one step now take five and the immense complexity of some of the systems in place is utterly baffling.
Scripting, for example, is a HUGE leap to take for old modders, because the language is completely different. This:
Is now this:
Both of those scripts do exactly the same thing: give the player a magic ability or power when he activates a stone. And actually getting the script running in the game is a whole other story.
If you haven't delved into modding Skyrim, be glad. It is a huge headache working with these tools and a lot of the big name Oblivion modders are struggling with the CK because of how incredibly complicated it is.
Believe me, it takes a lot of effort to completely start over with the scripting language.

Interesting! I do like this Standing Stone revision. Sorry to be so dunce-like, but how exactly does Serpent work again? I can choose three random blessings from any specialization?
For example:
1.)MAGIC
2)MAGIC
3.)STEALTH
or is it just M/M/M C/C/C S/S/S ?

It's the latter. You choose which of the archetypes you want and receive random powers taken from each minor Standing Stone under that archetype. So if you select Stealth, you get one power from The Lover, one power from The Shadow, and one from The Tower. You also get The Serpent's paralytic poison power, but you will also level up slower from then on out and lose your Guardian power (which can be a rather generous attribute increase, mind).
This is a tie-in to the established lore of the Serpent being the wandering constellation where those who are under his gaze are the most blessed and the most cursed. Ergo, you get a big bonus at a heavy price.

Grits has been unexpectedly absent this week, but it’s all good. Mr. Grits is on a business trip, and we’re home for spring break. The vacation budget went to medical bills (along with the PC budget), so I thought I would have tons of time to myself since the kids would go off to their separate corners.
But no! They want to spend time with … me!! We are having the best break ever, and not even doing much. In a minute we're going to resume the Fawlty Towers marathon. Big fun.

How wonderful that the kids have not fully moved beyond the ‘Mom is the Best!’ phase! I suppose you are likely to yet experience the remaining phases:
-Mom is boring.
-Mom is an ignorant dictator.
-Mom has gotten a lot smarter over the last few years.
Then, finally, full circle to ‘Mom is the Best!’

You shouldn't have mentioned Fawlty Towers.
My "ghastley" handle comes from a period just after graduating from University, when I shared a house rental in London with a couple of other recent grads. The place was in Chartley Avenue, but the hand-written address on our first phone bill made it look like "Ghastley Avenue" - hence the way I spell it. We liked that idea so much we christened the house "Ghastley Towers" (it was a two-storey duplex and had nothing resembling a tower). I painted the name on the transom over the door, and the postman would deliver to Ghastley Towers if you left off the house number.
Two weeks later, Fawlty Towers debuted on TV and everybody thought we'd copied them. Since Cleese was living in London, and not all that far away, it's quite possible he copied us!

Cool Ghastley!!...

D'you know...Generally, things go along for me...Not overly exciting really...Not that anything is particularly
bad as such, just nothing really...Inspiring...
Until today...
My Boss has interests which sometimes see him go off to view certain...Spiritual hills or hill forts or mountains or groves etc...And today was one of those days...And yet today he said, "Go on then, fancy a walk?"...So, dressed in my farmic finery (complete with added farmic aromas), off we went...
Here...Now, it may not look like much, but the people who built it there did so for a reason...The view was INCREDIBLE...If I had a decent cameraphone and a Photobucket account I'd show you...But my
gods it was amazing, I haven't been so thoroughly happy...No...Content is more the word, in so long it's untrue...Beautiful and totally spiritual...And I haven't been able to say
that for ages either...
And that's not the best bit....
We met a genuine, honest to...Um...God...
Pilgrim!!!...I couldn't believe it!! He was genuinely on a Pilgrim's trail following a map!!!...(Something to do with an ancient Roman Pilgrimage to be done instead of the one to Rome)...
Oh my...I am truly chuffed now!!...

The joys of studying... doing lots of it here but can't say I'm that motivated. Minecraft can certainly do serious damage to revision.
I can look forward to my summer though. There's no point in getting an internship or a job as I have a four year PhD starting in September, so I'm going to holiday instead.

Approaching the home stretch for law school. Just finished staying up all night writing a thoroughly pointless 4-page paper that will do hamster all to prepare me to become a lawyer. I know it's only four pages, but things tend to take longer when they're worth half your grade.
Still no job for the summer, so I'll probably be doing the study abroad program in London, which, given the lower per-credit cost, costs the same as doing it in Saint Paul anyway.
Christ, I hope I don't end up as one of those depressed, underemployed, broke-@ss JDs with an angry blog.

Oh noes! Well if you do, I'll join your Blog sphere!
I am bashing my head against the wall right now, also have a four page but I can't seem to get the ideas flowing on paper. It's about technology, we just chose something related to it and write! And it's due tomorrow! Haha, whoops, I spend to much time studying for the exam that I forgot about the paper xD
Maybe I do it on gaming....
Also can't wait to get out of school! I got so many story arcs planned...let's see, Jericho currently is 17, the arcs that I have planned will put him at 20 at the end of it!
