Ye gods, that was NOT pleasant X( I woke up to abdominal pains and shivering after only 4 hours of sleep; it turned out I had the attack of runny poo. Afterwards, several people decided sunday morning was a good time to call me on the phone, which made me lose temper and yank the cable out. "It's the damn sunday, for ***** sake, let me sleep" - some people just don't understand that concept.
Now I still have aching and I have to eat. Dang. I'll also have to vacuum the flat tomorrow, since it's 14:30 now.

Long time no talk. So far its been about a month and some change into my tenure at this military college of Vermont. (odd place to have a mil college) Life's been hard, but so far rewarding. Never thought I could run six miles straight but by god I'm doing it.
Well I'll be stopping by on occasion being that we've been giving full internet access now.

I've been switching my phone off overnight for years ... because of situations like this.
Yanking the cable every day will wear it out, best to switch the phone off or at least switch the ringer off.

Oh your sister is very pretty, Milanius. I see why you want to keep the unworthy bachelors away from her. And enjoy your vacuuming.
I just cleaned the entire condo; well, I did kitchen and bathroom - which was atrocious due to the fact that workmen just finished repairing a ceiling hole above the bathtub that had been jarring open for a prior month and a half.
Cain cleaned the livingroom, bless him; since he had his entire computer guts spread all over during a complete changeover of motherboard and vid cards, etc. and a reformat. So now he is able again to watch movies and burn CDs. More than I can do actually. My CD burner, scanner and color printer all seem to work only with w98 and I'm running 2000. May have to go back to the doubleboot; but for now I've got Cain's b+w printer and am doing ok without the rest.
Wow Channler, your military school there is tough. At Lackland during AF basic training, all the WAFs had to run was the aerobic mile ... one mile within 3 minutes - I think that's what it was. And you could walk it, which is what many of our lazier waf's did. I was tied for 2nd fastest place between 2 sister flights. Best shape I was ever in besides exotic dancing, tahahah!

My partner in crime wasn't here today, so I was bored for most of school. The guy who asked if I wanted to go to a movie sometime was there, so I think I might remind him of that offer.

It became very cold last night. It is cold now. My feet are freezing, and I am considering taking 1 more pair of socks.
ARCANUM is treating me like a cheap hooker with AIDS at times. Today I got a LOAD ERROR: FILES CORRUPT and my game just went... insane. I ended up naked, outside the world map. I was so relieved when I restarted the game and saw savegames intact. Bloody RPG's, always come with bugs included.
On a more humorous note, my folks made their own lives miserable and I was woken up this morning by yelling and quarrel. I know you'all aren't talking about Oblivion, but Cain has made a mod for Oblivion that is an Orc boxer = he uses nothing but his fists, no armor+no weapon, and punches out guards right and left. The only problem with downloading one of Cain's saved game mods is that all the guards in Vvardenfell have a price on your head ... no dead or alive; just DEAD = because of all the guards he attacks when trying out his weapons n enchantments. So I get the new mods fresh off the CD disk he makes and create my own 'virginal chickensh1t characters who don't kill guards".
He is right now making a mod that involves noble personas playing what he's calling "Royal Golf" but it involves 'sleeping tight 4ever' so he's up to some new devilry over there. *Can't wait to download ..

When I started teaching my new American Lit. I class, I didn't get the textbook until the first night of class. So I have been kind of winging it, trying to read just a little ahead of the students so as to have something useful to talk about. Mostly been doing the explorers, the Puritans, etc. It bothered me that I did not remember much about these writers from the class I took in my university days.... I worried that my dachshund memory was slipping a few cogs....
Anyway, I dug my old class notes out (yes, I am an uber-geek- I saved notes from some of my Lit. classes)--- and discovered that the professor had skipped the Puritans, the entire 18th century, and jumped right to Hawthorne and Melville. In other words, I am reading most of what I have been teaching for the first time, myself.
In other English news, I plan to discuss "Our Friend, the Comma" with my writing class. I am sure a grand time will be had by all....

There is nothing wrong with shy boys, if a guy isn't nervious about asking you out then either he doesn't like you or he has the philosophy, "if I ask out a ton of girls then eventually one of them will say yes", and probably has the same attitude towards sex.
If you don't want to ask him out just make sure he has opportunities to catch you by yourself and he knows you like him (done by telling him you like spending time with him). When I've been persued a common trick of girls is to invite me out to a movie (which I would like) with a bunch of her friends then either forget to invite any friends or make sure none of them turn up. I always saw through that trick because it is never a movie their friends would go to and they seem to have no idea about it when we accidentally meet. I perfer coffee invitations, then they just need to buy me a fair trade coffee and talk about art/music or something traditionally not associated with women like games or sport (even though I don't like sport) then they have me.
