Oh Trey, I meant to ask you if you faired the storm last night okay? I've never seen anything like that one, the lightning was like a strobe light that didn't stop for hours - the storm was NOT moving at all, just hung there. 9000 people out of power all night, ours didn't get on till almost 7 this morning.

@Treydog - June 25th is my Brothers Birthday, so our coincidental dates continue it would seem. I lost my own father 3 years ago in March. I too, miss my Father a great deal. If he was anything like yours, than your dad is a huge part of who you are today, and was one of the finest human beings to walk the earth, the world is poorer without them.

I'm going to be a secondary charcter in the new Lepurchan movie,by WWE Studios.

I'm so excited. I've been working on a new FanFic and I'm pretty pleased with the result. It's going to me an ensemble piece, focusing on five different characters of mine who have very different lives. Eventually their destinies entwine as they become involved in a threat that threatens Cyrodiil.

It's mostly original, but does follow some game storylines. I'm so excited! I cant wait for you guys to read it!

Hey, I know where you're coming from. I left these forums briefly a loooong time ago too but I was dragged back by my love for discussion and the people here. Unfortunately most of the old timers are gone now but it is great to see all this new blood.

Imp, these kind of posts go over in the "Everything" thread. The Coffee Shop is where we post important things we are dealing with (example Trey talking about the loss of his father) - it is for members to scan and find out the meat of what is going on with the members. Conversations and fun stuff like the above should be posted in the Everything thread.

Life goes on.

Sometimes, these are but fleeting interests, sometimes we grow alongside them and see how deep and fulfilling they can truly be. Weep not for lost friends, for we all, are but ships passing in the night. We are all, alone and drifting. Whether or not we are lonely and lost, that is a choice.

There are many directions, currents, paths and waterways. Land is always somewhere just over the horizon. There is no right or wrong course, there is only the course we have chosen.

Thanks everyone. There are many good things about my dad- the first being I got to know him for 35 years. No- it isn't long enough- but they were all good years.

Another joy is that I can still see and hear him- doing what he loved. A local TV station did a series that started out being about Cades Cove, but which grew into much more. Dad was asked to do some of the earliest episodes and then was invited back several times. The shows still air and better yet, are available on VHS and DVD. So I get a chance to see him being himself- teaching, talking, his eyes gleaming with pleasure as he explains how the mountains and the coves were formed.

Yes- I still miss the chance to sit with him and have one of our free-roaming conversations that was almost like an episode of Connections- where you end up wondering how a postage stamp is related to Oak Ridge Gaseous Diffusion plant... but...

I still can and do talk to him. And sometimes- in my dreams- he answers. There are no "unresolved issues" between us, just conversations we have yet to finish.

Very touching sentiments, Treydoggie. I wish I had vids of my mom to hear her voice, see her in something other than a still picture. I have been digging around trying to find my old answering machine tapes to see if any have her voice on it, so far no luck.

That's proper epic right there, that is...Fair dues, amazing man...A trait he seems to have passed on well enough... ...

That´s a very nice story, treydog I´m so glad to know you had the same fine relationship with your dad as I have with my dad. The fact you lost him way too early is the only thing bringing it down, but you do a good job keeping his memory alive.

It looks like everyone is nice. But my first shift is as a cashier :/ everyone there is register trained in case they want more hours.

Good to hear it. I hope you end up enjoying it. If you are in an environment with good people, even a challenging job can be pretty enjoyable.
