Also I realise that over last four days I've managed write 5000 words. That is...that is insane. I've also disovered just how fun it is to write a story which has a cast primarily composed of godlike beings that only exist in a baryonic state when they want to. I had no idea how liberating and insanely fun it is to write a story with characters who border on the omnipotent...

@ Mirocu - That is true on the fevers. My children's old pediatrician used to advocate not jumping into antibiotics at the drop of a hat for that very reason (as well as the resistance factor of antibiotics).

Drugs have been hitting the market after minimal testing and in a few years are pulled due to people dying (etc) - the advertising for drugs kills me. "If you have hay fever, ask your doctor about 'Killmequick', the newest breakthrough in hay fever treatment. Side effects include death, murderous outbursts, sleep-driving while dressed as a prostitute, an unusual odor emitting from your elbows, odd gambling excursions, etc, etc, etc."

Another thing is non-specific childhood seizures - doctors jump on pumping the child up with phenobarbital, which has long range side effects including bringing on seizure activity. My pediatrition put my youngest son on an extremely high carbohydrate diet and the seizures stopped very shortly thereafter.

I figure aspirin has been around as long as I have and other than brittle bones, liver damage, possible Reyes syndrome, and tinnitus - no side effects.

I haven't actually heard from the B-I-L meself yet, it's kinda third-hand through the wife, but yeah he says it's managed to burrow into everything on there...So I'm a bit worried that even if he can get anything usable it's still going to have something there...He basically said that if we'd linked this comp to the other and tried to copy anything it would have eaten this one too, even if we'd just plugged the USB in... ...

But yeah, I'm basically going to be copying the KOTN onto the comp again from here...That's actually the only one that hasn't been affected by the munching...And yes, that meant more J'zirlo was in the works too...*Sigh*...

It probably isn't much consolation, but stories that I've lost and then rewritten in the past have had a tendency to be noticably better than their precursors; you might well find the same thing, maybe. Like I said, not much, but might help make your work better in the long run, maybe?

Trouble is...I'm the kind of person that gets burned by something and then just leaves it...I mean the entire of my Fallout story is gone...And quite honestly, if it's not exactly as it was - and I'll spend ages going around and around trying to make it exactly the same - then I'll just throw it anyways...I do tend to just not bother starting again with stuff...

Mind you, I say gone...Maybe the BIL will pull a miracle...He really is pretty amazing at his job...

Guess I should start learning how to draw to distract myself from KOBs absence /sad

I could channel my 7-year-old former self and randomly run into walls and doorframes (see below) and throw things. And also do "somersaults" which were only kinda "half-somersaults" cause I tended to straighten at the top of the roll instead of tucking, thus slamming down into the floor and shaking the entire house....

Note- the running into doorways was NOT clumsiness- OK not COMPLETELY. It was how my folks figured out I had eye problems, leading to an operation to correct strabismus.

Alternatively, you could watch some of the OLD Looney Tunes with Bugs and Daffy. The violent ones- i.e.- the GOOD stuff.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I told him to not come on here while he was in Africa and have a good time, take a break from the internet, etc etc. It's what I'll be doing in Mexico next year. He usually distracts me a great bit while I'm online, and the break will be good for the both of us. I'll miss my bestest buddy though :/

I'm super excited about drawing

I had eye problems as well. I had surgery when I was 3 to fix crossed eyes. My son had them as well and had to have surgery too. My eyesight is progressively getting worse, so by the time I'm old and decrepit I should also be blind. I'm gonna take advantage of my eyesight and try to make and write pretty things :]

He is really going to be missed.
