Four. And it's a six person store. My assistant and I are already getting overtime and so was just barely avoiding one of the cashiers getting overtime. I'm so screwed.

Yes, but, the process takes two or three days. I'd have to set up interviews and if anyone showed up, interview them. If I hired them and they showed up to work, train them. If they KEEP showing up, that's good.

It's worth it. You could really use some more people at that place

In other news . . .I was checking up on the current state of my country, Brazil, and it seems people all over the place are getting so tired of crime that they're taking matters into their own hands. Sure, they did it before, but they released tons of videos of failed criminal acts and townspeople retaliating by roping them into a tree or cornering them in a corner to enforce the law!

Two weeks notice I believe. So she can quiet and give two weeks for them to find someone else. I might do this too.

That is everywhere, not just some countries. Average response time varies between 6-15 minutes depending on your location and several other factors. You call and talk to the operator, who then talks to the dispatcher, who then searches for a nearby unit, who then responds to the call. This process takes a few minutes and then you've got to think about actual drive time for the police officer.

Basically, the responsibility for your safety falls on you. You can call the police and then they'll come long after the incident is over and do the paperwork involved. They're not preemptive and cannot protect you.
