Scary. Like all the others said, relaxing could be a good solution. When I need to relax, I go outside and take a little walk to find a sunny and silent place. I just let my thoughts go with the wind, and close my eyes. Parks are an ideal place. May sound a little overdramatic, but it works. For me at least. Try it, brojangles. smile.gif

For some people, doing some exercise wakes them up, me I like to do it right before bed, because it makes me tired enough to sleep. I do some push ups and sit ups.

I think you should definitely get that racing heart checked though. That is not healthy.

Thanks for the tips guys smile.gif I made a doctors appointment to check out my heart, and I'm going to try to fall asleep early for the rest if the week.....

GAAAAH! You were able to make an appointment over the weekend? Awesome! Good luck on the results!

Tea does have caffeine, but doesn't necessarily keep you awake. If you have four cups right before bed, yes. Drank throughout the day, it can help you relax:

BAM!

I'm a total caffeine addict, so I have a very high tolerance, even able to drink a cup of coffee before going to sleep. I avoid energy drinks and stuff, as it turns out those can turn me into my patients.

Also you are what you think. In essence; and this is backed up by neurology: "The neurons that fire together, wire together."

That is the more you go with your everyday reactions to things, the more those reactions become hard-wired into your brain. For example, I used to become annoyed at every red light. Left unchecked, that type of reaction can eventually have a simple red light turn you into the rampaging Hulk.

Taking a moment and stopping yourself, and trying to think positively. (Ah, an opportunity to adjust my mirrors, this is perfect.) or even forcing yourself to smile can rewire those neurons. If you force your smile, its disingenuous at first, but eventually the areas of the brain associated with it kick in, and your producing happy hormones instead of angry ones.

So it's sort of meditation, sort of just being aware of what you're thinking. Just a thought.

Yes, in high school they give you books to read over the summer and test you on them as soon as you walk in the door at the school year's start. (I think they did it over winter break too).

In college you could "test out" of classes the first day or so of each semester by paying a small fee - if you aced it the grade went toward your GPA but not your credit hours. If you didn't do as well as you liked you could just take the class.

The small fee for testing out was a lot less than paying for the class for each subject. I tested through all my remedials except Algebra, had to take that class.

Considering we had the highest dropout percentage in our district, I don't think they cared. I think the only reason I survived with some of my sanity is because I was homeschooled first. I'm looking at posts from a lot of my highschool buds and think, "Wow...they STILL can't spell!" They claim to do it on purpose, but I tried tutoring a few of them in English, and it's not on purpose.

My school just does placement exams for each incoming freshman. It's mostly for math.

My teachers, amongst others. I've got an genetics test on Thursday, and I consider myself prepared for it. We've also been given time to study for it both today and tomorrow, so it's not as bad as it could be, though I don't think my classmates would agree with me. My sister does also have a test on Thursday, and in her school, the average of the grades that students leave the school with is actually above most of Sweden's average. Or it was the year when I left the school in any case.

Could be. Still it wouldn’t hurt to back off the caffeine and weirdly colored drinks until after your doctor’s appointment. I’ve found those contribute to the problem for me. (Along with stress.)

Here we go again.....

I broke a very crappy vase in my sister's house when I went to watch the kids(she doesn't give me a break), and she pretty much turned into This. Well, it turns out that she was going to give the vase to our mother and father as an anniversary gift, so apparently I've screwed that up too.

Now I have to go buy them a new anniversary gift since I broke the old one. The problem is:

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO GET THEM BECAUSE I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT THE VASE LOOKS LIKE! panic.gif

The sad thing about this is that this happens every year.....

Bless your heart, I carry a ridiculously large purse and have knocked over more stuff with it than I can count. It could be considered a lethal weapon. Once I turned around on an elevator, it bounced me off one woman's chest beside me and threw me into the other woman on the elevator's chest. No amount of apology is acceptable when you have face dived into someone's cleavage (or crushed it on the other woman).

ROFL! I'm just being a pain in the neck tongue.gif

I broke the vase when I slammed my head into the table it was on when I was trying to pick up my phone. What makes it worse is last week(I think) I woke up and when I rolled over to turn of the alarm I fell if the bed and slammed my head into the nightstand.

I started a food fight. I threw cake at Elisabeth Hollow(she caught it with her mouth and told me to stop that), and poured soup down King Coin's shirt. Darkness Eternal decided to pee on my soul, so I threw a muffin at him. He gave it back to me, malacath style, and mALX entered the thread. I threw an eclair at mALX, and ate all of the muffins, so I offered everyone cake. mALX offered me a fishystick, and I accepted, and gave everyone a fishystick too. I think Elisabeth Hollow ate hers though blink.gif
