I expect others have noticed that mALX has been missing the last few days. She had what was supposed to be a fairly routine benign tumor removal surgery early this week that ran into a couple complications. Nevertheless, she is home, doing much better but still too sore to be on here much. So she asked if I would let folks know that she is okay.

She does have a followup appointment tomorrow but the doc is still very confident her tumor was benign - just was a bit troublesome to remove apparently.

I'm sure her many friends here join me in wishing her a speedy recovery and we look forward to having her back among us soon. smile.gif

Thank you for the update, Acadian. I have seen her here a bit but not noticed many posts and just chalked it up to her being busy and/or having nothing to say.

Get better soon, mALX! All kinds of tumors are problematic, but as long as they're benign, no matter how complicated their removal or recovery, it's still better than a single, small malign tumor. I wish you all the best, mALX, return soon.

My son, unfortunately, had a malign tumor, on the 12th of March it was exactly one year since he passed away.

I cannot put words to this. All I can do is extend my best thoughts and wishes to you and your wife. I hope that each passing year will make it at least a bit eaiser for you, even if it's just a little bit.

Thanks, mirocu! That's also a reason why I was mostly inactive on forums since December 2016 - April 2017, I think.

I doubt we'll get over it completely, not sure I even want to, but it's definitely already much better than it was. We're supposed to get twin girls by the end of July / early August, hope all goes well, so far so good.

I wanted to thank everyone so much for your well wishes. My breathing has been much better since the surgery, I think once the surgical site heals and stops being painful I will be able to get back online again.

Just got another request from mALX to update folks.

She is doing better. Had post-surgery followup with her doc today who confirmed the large tumor she had removed was indeed benign. He also opined that she is healing well.

As you've seen, she's been able to get on here a few times and has even been logging into ESO sporadically this past week - so definitely improving. She is a bit worn out from her appointment this morning though and asked me to update the forum so she can go rest up some.

Speaking of ESO, I went over to Bethesda forums (the new one), and asked about is it possible to port TESO to the Switch. I got a plausible maybe out of it. I would SOOOOOOOO love to play TESO on the Switch, I mean if it can play Skyrim surly the Switch can play TESO.

Edit: Oh and I'm drinking coffee while snaking on coffee flavored candy.

As mALX knows quite well, I have been so happy to see her name pop up in my chat box more and more often while I am playing ESO. It's wonderful to hear that she is feeling better, and that she is almost back to her normal activity in the game.

On another note, some of you may already know that I finally got my new computer, to replace my aging Beast. The Beast is 10 years old, and is starting to have trouble maintaining network connections (both WiFi and Ethernet). So I spent part of my income tax refund on a very nice new 'puter with a 5K display. However, I won't be running it at 5K, since it makes the text [size=1]extremely tiny[size=1] and nearly illegible for my old eyes.

I did not restore the new 'puter to a back up of the old one, as that has files and applications going back to 2005 which will not run on a modern computer (some are inherited from a previous computer).

I've been enjoying ESO on the new computer at Ultra High settings, so it's fun. But today I'm feeling sluggish due to allergies (damn trees are popping their buds). So I figured I'd work on getting some of my files moved off the old Beast onto an external hard drive preparatory to transferring them to the new computer.

Oh, and I named the new computer Wyoming Knott. Wonder if anyone gets the reference?

I know, I didn't come to this conclusion easily.

I've noticed how each time I'm about to go for a ride, it's more of a hassle than joy. Every time I can't wait to get out of the armor and into my car and listen to some music. After 17 years of riding motorcycles, it's just not fun anymore. I have to face the truth. Much better then to pass my current bike on to someone who can enjoy it again as I did when I had just gotten it.

Also, by selling it I get some cash and it means I can get rid of the rental garage I have for storing it. Also also, we don't have a bike dealership closeby which makes getting service, new tires and gear a pain in my wings. So you see, many things have added up to this.

It's been a good bike with very little trouble so I will remember it fondly.

I think Khajiit nailed it. I loved riding foe sho, but not so much today. If I ever want a bike again it would be something smaller like a 350cc that is easier to play around with. But that won't happen anytime soon. Biggest issue is I don't have anywhere to ride; I've ridden all the roads in my area and it's just not fun anymore.
