It is even worse than it sounds too. I was curling one hand up into my armpit and acting like I was swinging from a tree with the other, making a face like a monkey might make, and trying to dance like an ape in a zoo might. I don't actually know if they dance, I was just making it up as I went along, and really getting into my sister laughing till I saw the other people watching horrified.

You probably already guessed Unforgiven II is my favorite too, since it was Gils and Maxical's song in my story, lol. The lyrics were written into several chapters, and in Chapter 162 I posted the youtube vid with it when Gils died.

Anyway, the song is stuck in my head, so I can kiss paying attention to what the teacher is saying goodbye.

The problem is my friend stole all of my Metallica CD,s (I need to remember to take them back.) I might have another copy of reload but if I dig around the house for CD,s I'm most likely to knock down a dresser....

My most (memorable?) incident of breaking things- in a long life of breaking things- happened with my 1975 Oldsmobile. Due to her age (and general cussedness), Esme developed carburetor troubles. The immediate result was that, if I did not keep the gas pedal pressed down AT ALL TIMES, she would die. On the Interstate, in the middle of a left turn in an intersection, while sitting at a red light beside a car full of rednecks…. (as my motor revved and I tried to look as if I had no IDEA why that was happening).

The only way to restart the car was to get out, open the hood, remove the air cleaner, prop the valve on the carb wide open, get back in the car, start the engine, put a brick on the gas to hold it down, get out, remove the ballpoint pen holding the valve open, replace the air cleaner, close the hood, get back in the car, move the brick (while making SURE to not let the accelerator back up), and go on my grumpy way- until it happened again.

But that’s not the story. The story is- while this was happening, on a day in East Tennessee in July, while driving down a highway that the locals seem to think is our very own autobahn (Alcoa Highway for mALX and others from “around here”), the air conditioner also decided to give up.

So- with perhaps more vigor that absolutely necessary, I cranked the window down (for you young’ uns out there, automobiles used to have windows that rolled down by using a hand crank, rather than a nice button on the armrest). As I was doing so, the knob broke off in my hand. And in my surprise, I lifted my foot off the gas, to better give vent to my outrage….

The window knob probably showed up somewhere in western North Carolina- or possibly north Georgia- I was not paying attention to which way I was facing when I flung it.

Alcoa highway closing in on the UT hospital/agriculture farm area is a small military training station. The men in all their camo gear have to CROSS Alcoa highway and scale the ridge across from it. And yes, many people have a tendency to take seriously the word "highway" in the name of the road. (Myself included, at the time).

Along comes mALX at a stout clip just before dawn would be breaking, putting on my make-up in the rear-view mirror. Suddenly my peripheral vision sees dark figures darting around and shouting is heard.

No marines were injured in the incident, but more than a few may have needed fresh drawers. I learned something from this, I never put make-up on while driving again. I'll bet the Marines learned not to cross in full camo in the dark after that too.

I saw there is an assignment posted already for one of my classes, due the first day of class. Looked at my schedule - the class is tomorrow. I've already decided I'm going to procrastinate it!

I bet they added "Look Both Ways" to their training manual.
