My semester exams dates are from 17 on. I have Friday the 21st off, and will have the day before off too because I'd spend all day at votech, which I will discuss with my votech teacher.
I'm supposed to find out soon if I'll be able to get a scholarship so I don't have to pay for the A+ Exams myself.

I do agree that academic teams often/usually become cesspools for male nerds' unvented testosterone.
I knoz. I tried to be in it in 8th grade but, meh... the kids, to say the least, formed a their little clique there. The funny part is, half our team are chicks. I don't really care for the other chick members though, especially the one that seems to be bordering on being a psychopath, but that's a story for another time.
I got my housing and meal plan contract in the mail today. Whoohoo! One more step closer towards my freshman year of college.

SO, if you really pushed it for equality housing; maybe you'd get to live in a male only dorm, Zarr. And be a revolutionary freshman breaking a stupid tradition.

Calling male reproductive organs 'junk' is really depressing. But beside that, situation is still hilarious as much as it's tragically prejudicial.
Back at my old Uni, there was this nearby building that served as dorm for out-of-town engineering students and the setup for genders was completely democratic - both males and females were crammed up in there, although there was more of males [because, ZOMFG, a female engineer is like a black sheep

].
Of course, there also weren't many male-female roommates, for obvious reasons...
Back to my crappy life & health. I'm better when it's day [at night I get fever] and I'm expecting this bug to go away in several days. meanwhile, I'm going to start working at the new job at the PC & hardware distributors Monday, Dec 10th. Hopes are up.

I can't exactly say the anatomically correct words for the male package without it being censored, now can I?
And speaking of males, my ex is being such a doodyhead (to put it as unobscenely and unprofanely as possible), a liar, and a killjoy. I told him I asked if I could see him the 21st and 22nd. He went "[Screw] that, that's less than a day." I told the git we had agreed on it a few days ago, that he said it was fine and I said it was better so I could buy his gifts before Christmas. Well, the shoddy liar he is tried to tell me he TOLD me he wanted to spend a few days with me, and he never did. My memory isn't that freaking crappy. Wish he would stop making crap up and stop trying to make me look like a stupid liar.
I hope that killjoy is really happy for doing two really crappy things to me in one week. He's really good at crushing my feelings.

A what a beautiful ray of sunshine, Milanius and I am so happy that your story ended well. I think I feel that you are finally where you should be doing what you love most ... drooling .. I mean, working with computer hardware. How often have you mentioned the same here at the forums? Often that I remember and I forsee you messaging us from gargantuan supercomputers that you've built for yourself in the future. All good, Mil, very very good.
To Metal Mallet and all the others with final exams and not enough time for study .. my heart goes out to you. I remember those days. Do your best, try to make your essay as interesting as possible .. both for your sake and that of the professor's .. think of the tedium of how many he/she's got to read .. and maybe they'll overlook it being a little shorter than prescribed. I once turned a series of Q & A on an exam into a short story form just because I was bored with so much studying and the prof gave me a A+++ and a comment of "wow, this was refreshing after all the papers I've been reading". Not recommended with all profs of course.
Glad you will soon be home to see your cat & family Minuqe. You sound like you've enjoyed yuor trip but it is getting nearer to Christmas and I'm sure you'll want to be home then.

I swear, the school board administration is a bunch of avaricious homicidal bastards that deserve to be disemboweled and castrated/splayed.
We had school today, despite the ice storm that hit us last night and despite the fact they knew another would hit us today. Everyone around us who was not part of our district was out. Anadarko was out. They're fifteen minutes from us. Amber-Pocasset was out, they're less than ten minutes away from us. Did Chickasha Public Schools get out? Nope. That's not even the entire cake. Less than half the teachers showed up, and less than tenth of the student body (out of slightly less than 900) showed up, too. BETTER YET, the power went out. And stayed out. For two hours. Not just ours, every single school in Chicksha. Did they let us out then? Hell no. They wanted their bloody funding. So I went through the entire school day bored. By the end, most classes had less than three kids in it. Pathetic. And guess what? We don't have school tomorrow.

Me & mates at work are on good terms, although I irritate them at times, because I'm slow right now. Duh

I just started to work, I want to be slow at first. Besides, running around while there are 150$ processors near your feet on floor [literally] waiting to be packed shouldn't be done with haste.
Bar-code readers, now that's another kind of Breton Witch... at times, when I'm archiving the new parts or preparing ones that are in store for package and transport, it's hard to aim the barcode reader at the proper barcode [one with the serial number of product], when there are 4 or 5 of'em densely packed near each other... but, practice makes perfect.
Other than that, great company and rap music at work [HAH] and cold weather, there ain't much new stuff.

Went to the grocery store with my mom. Ended up with 50 dollars extra, so we bought some stuff we wanted (frozen goods, other stuff). Came out to 133 something. That's really good for everything we got, especially these days where milk can be five bucks and two pounds of ground beef 11 bucks.
Some pizza is in the oven. Mmm.
Tomorrow I'm making my mom's birthday cake. It's pineapple meringue pie, and Im doing it two days ahead of time so I actually have time for it.

I am in a good mood too. Funny thing is, it only takes a bit more of snow

yesterday, while I was sleeping, loads of it fell and covered everything. Now, today was a bit less frosty than yesterday, so I cleaned both our cars [the Bug and Golf] and afterwards, I made a few snowballs, just for target practice.
Weapons of snow destructionI love it when both sky and earth turn white. It certainly looks much prettier than mud, combined with rotting leaves.
p.s.: I looked at the recipes for pineapple meringue pie and it looks interesting, not too complicated. Canned pineapple isn't too expensive nowadays; I might try it sometime.
In the meantime, best of luck with your culinary project, dear Zarr and a happy birthday to your mom
