I am under the impression that I'm a part of the group who hasn't commented on your ex at all (I've never had one, so I just don't care as of yet).
If that flies then I count as one of the first who didn't say it was wierd or crazy.

As to online word processor, I might take that path, but my roommate is supposed to hook me up with Microsoft Office, so if that doesn't take too long, it shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, people tend to appear bright, interesting, and real, right before they open their mouths.
Generally, the rule here is that you should only see attractive people, not hear them. As a rule, really attractive people tend to be 1) really stupid, 2) really conceited, 3) gay, 4) crazy, a combination of the above, or all of the above.

I went to see that man [it was an ex-colleague of mine, actually] and we talked about possible jobs I could do for him. It's nothing big and if I accept it would be 1/2 of work time, but the money [no matter how scarce] and the time involved suit me just fine. They're doing all sorts of educational software and some smaller games at this point, and would need someone who could do odd jobs & support for smaller tasks. I am not holding my breath, but still this could be decent.

Holding a good thought for you. I have had to do the unemployed shuffle myself. People don't always seem to get that it's not just about finding A job, it's about finding the RIGHT job. Basically one that doesn't suck your soul right out....

Exactly, Treyman. A job in a normal working environment, with decent pay and co-workers who would aid you and whom you could support back if needed. A healthy environment, in one word - everything that's pretty rare back here. Dog Eat Dog world...

Oh man! The concert I was at finished like 2 hours ago and I'm still pumped from it. It was freaking great! Even the band I thought I would have my doubts about hearing won me over just by the amazing and intense performance they put on. There were just a couple instances that night that annoyed me but overall seeing one of my all-time favourite bands (Insomnium) with 3 other very solid and entertaining bands (Katatonia, Scar Symmetry, and Swallow the Sun) totally overthrew that.

God damned footballers. I hate their guts so much, when they decide to try to run & fight after the 10th game, when everything is lost.
It could be worse, though. Scotland has beaten France tonight, 1:0, and in their group there is a chance that either France or Italy won't make it to Euro2008. If Italians fail to qualify, I won't be so sad. I hate Italians and like Scots. Go Highlanders!

Yeah we sort of realized it was just a rule we arbitrarily imported from the TES forums, and that the reason for that rule has long been obsoleted - modern forum software does not refuse to work if threads grow big. So yeah, I don't think we have to do it anymore. I think the only reason they're not stopping with it over at the other place is that once a thread reached 200 there, they'd get swamped with reports and posts like "200. This will be closed."

Of course if you think that your threads for something like RP is better off being closed after 200 each for better managability or something, then by all means keep it that way. We just feel it's an unnecessary restriction for this one and possibly others

And now for that 201st cup of coffee!

WB Shogun Sniperman :/ bummer... we'll be withyaz in spirit?
In any case, I have gone and done it. I have deconstructed my keyboard and CLEANED IT. Took me 3 hours, no less, during which time I have removed a ton of hairs, dirt, dust and some brown sticky crap I don't even want to think about anymore from the base of the keyboard. After that long and tedious task [during which my neighbor, medicine student on nearby Uni] has entertained me with stories of clingy female colleagues], I've started to clean keys, one by one.
By hand, with home made brandy [45% alcohol is the best I could come up, and the stuff smells and tastes really bad; it had made me puke several times by now so it's not a big waste at all].
Right now the entire thing, put back together, looks oddly clean in contrast to mouse, PC's case, monitor and speakers. Sure, it ain't as white as it was in April 2001, but it's very, VERY clean. If you could've see me clean it, slowly and rigidly to the sounds of Idlewild, you would say "This man is possessed" - but the truth is, I really love this tiny CHICONY keyboard. Even if it gets into its previous filthy state within 2 weeks I am still glad I did this.
Now, on to baking potatoes!
edit:

I have been reading "Shogun" as "Shotgun" all this time. Huh.

Shogun, I hope things will be back online soon.
Maybe I should clean my keyboard as well during the autumn vacation. (Funny, that one always happens during winter.)
Frankly, I don't want to know what's in there.
As for cleaning, all I do from time to time is using a sharp needle to clean the dust and other stuff from my mouse's trackball. If the mouse goes jumpy, I know it's time for a cleaning.
And now for some good news and bad news. What do you guys want to hear first? Let's go with the good news.
My sister has a boyfriend! I was really surprised because frankly, for the last 20 years or so (In other words, during her whole life), she's shown exactly as much interest in romance as I have. Which is to say, so little not even an electron-microscope can pick it up. Ok, maybe she has shown a bit more interest than I have. (She loves romantic comedies while I hate them with a passion.) Oh, and he's over two metres tall. Now we all feel like a bunch of midgets.
Ok, that was the good news, now for the bad news.
Said boyfriend ran off with my Morrowind disk. I've chosen to deinstall the game and use the free space for some other stuff. I hope I can get Homeworld: Cataclysm to work. I've heard it's a good game. (Knowing me, it will crap out.)

Need to get my Cthulhu painting done, then start something with the American flag in it for AP Studio Art. Already know what I'll do. Heeeee....
Calc should be easy... Spanish II shouldn't be that bad when the class is 40 or so minutes long.... AP Chem, hope we go over something new, getting bored in there. And AP English Lit... pfft.

Guess I'll just have to blackmail him into buying GOTY for me as a refund, right?
As for Cataclysm, it seems to work. Not a single glitch in the tutorial and even when I pumped the effects and detail to the max, not a single drain on the framerate. The only downside is that my cursor vanishes when I use 3d acceleration, so I had to switch down to software rendering. Ah well, tonight I think I'll start up the first real mission.

So Metal Mallet, where do you post from? Work?
Pisces, you can keep the Friday because I usually have to work that night; so in fact - you can go to 7/11 and work for me. I'm sure you can do that in any part of the world; they are international, right? Just mail the paycheck to my palmtree nest in Florida.
Jack Cloudy, that's a bad, bad, bad boyfriend and he's got to be corrected or he's going to run roughshod over your family. I think you've got the right idea with letting him buy you GOTY to make up for his theft.
Milanius is now going to become a cleanfreak concerning his keyboard. tahahaa! But I understand totally your attachment to your keyboard, Mil. I love this Saitek Eclipse - even if it is backlit blue instead of purple. It still kinda matches everything else.
Zarr, you'd better eat more that pop-tarts if you want to keep up trailing those ginger kids. Or am I behind the times and you are beyond them now? I seem to remember something about one of them being somewhat dim when he opened his mouth ... but like guys with blondes; we can forgive the cuties if they're a bit lacking in the brain department.

Well, aside from ending the third week of school and finding out that (allegedly) three girls like me, nothing noteworthy has happened on my end. To all of the aforementioned girls, I respond to their friends with "Okay," and nothing more.
I just don't even know two of the three personally, but to the third, I'm just not interested in dating when I know nothing solid is going to come of it (I just prefer not commiting myself to girls or relationships in general).
Call me cynical if you want, but I like to think of myself as a realist (in a way other kids just can't understand or want to try).

Well I used to post at work on the weekends (well, just Saturday actually) because I had a lot of spare time there. Now, I can only post early in the morning or late at night depending on whether or not I have work. I got to school from 12pm to 4 or 6 pm, then if I work, I got straight from school to work and then I'm usually not out of work until like 12 or 1 am (it all depends on whether or not I'm closing that night). So really during the week, I only have time to post when I wake up or just before I go to bed.
I do everything on a laptop now.
