He's really weird...he is so hard to get to sleep, but once he's asleep, you can turn on the lights and be really loud and it doesn't bother him. But no matter what, he's up at eight in the morning. No matter what.
You are lucky he sleeps in then, lol. My boys were like that as far as hard to get to bed but got up at the same time every day - but they got up at 5 am no matter how late they were up fighting going to bed the night before, lol.
My youngest used to come in my room and turn the TV on, I'd be hearing "Blues Clues" in my sleep and having nightmares about Steve ... but when SpongeBob Squarepants came on, there was no sleeping through that laugh,

mALX, your fireworks stories are leaving me in a heightened state of anxiety. I cannot imagine how your puppies handle 4th of July. Or the other pets in 100 miles for that matter....
Sounds like he needs to program some robot or system to do the fireworks for him. Set it up the day before and sit back with the Budweiser and a push button. Kind of like those ghouls in NV.
Press and fly!

Even my old Doberman who wasn't afraid of anything used to go under the farm shed when we set off fireworks, which was unusual with us right there in the back yard where he could be spending time with us (which was his favorite thing).
