Welcome back! There was a pretty big influx of new blood here right about the time you unplugged (spring of 2010) caused largely by a big format change over on the BethSoft forums that upset many of us fanfic writers there. Many of the 2005-6 chorrol crowd are still here, just a bit less visible.
I saw your thread seeking an old MW mod. Sorry can't help. Have you tried the MW modding subforum at BethSoft? Good luck. I know it is frustrating when you can't find a mod you know and want!
I finally found it, thankfully. It was buried on an obscure website I had to go through many links to find. It's really too bad, the whole morrowind mod database at planetelderscrolls has been completely trashed. It was really not a smooth transition to IGN.
I suppose the forum wasn't the only big changes Bethsoft has been making lately, eh? I know I started on here waiting for Oblivion, but now I'm just waiting for Oblivion to be over. Nothing has stood out to me like Morrowind did, and now two games in, Bethesda doesn't show any signs of returning to their golden age.
But I digress, it's good to see the 'ol forum still running. I spent more more time on here than I have any forum since or ever. Good memories of great people and fun times writing. I'm glad new folk can enjoy it here too, it's a surprisingly friendly atmosphere.

The official forum has a Lore section that has a very detailed discussion of CHIM, or you may try the Imperial Library to get Michael Kirkbride's discussion on it.
Here is a link that has links to both:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/General:Michael_KirkbrideI have done a rudimentary study and ended up completely lost, but the discussions on the Lore section of the official forum are the most fascinating reading I have ever experienced (even without complete understanding). That is where you used to be able to find the game developers lurking.

Glad to hear the good news, Grits! But bone scan? Did I miss something while I was gone?
I have an update of my own as well. Went to the pulmonologist last week. Like me, she suspects fungal pneumonia; this is further borne by the CT scan results - the nodules in my lungs resemble the nasty stuff more than the big C. Cancer is actually at the bottom of a fairly long list of differentials, while Fungal is second.
So after 2,000 simoleons worth of bloodwork (results still pending) and a bronchoscopy Monday, I won't know anything for sure until I see my pulmonologist again in a couple of weeks.
Coughing quite a bit more since the 'scopy but otherwise doing okay. She did a brush biopsy, a pinch biopsy and a flush biopsy during the broncho, so no surprise there. They warned me of fever, but I haven't had any, so that's good. I was back to work the next day, and the sore throat lasted less than 24 hours so I'm happy.
Acadian, hope you have a great time away from the internet. It's nice to log off every now and then and notice the real world around us (and interact with some real people). Not that
we're not real people, but you know what I mean!

Yay, emails are back. Thank you, Invisible Hands of Forum Fixing!!
I keep trying to understand CHIM, but it still evades me. My guess from what I’ve read is that it’s as if the character realizes that he’s in a dream but he's not the dreamer, and the realization might allow him to change the dream. Even though I don’t get it at all, not getting it is still one of my favorite TES things.

haute, it sounds like they took enough bits to check everything! Glad you’re on your feet, and I’m having a good thought for things that can be treated easily. I had an MRI back in January for the spine injury, and it turned up some mysteries and surprises as well, most worrying was a bone marrow issue. My regular doctor gave an early all-clear, but she was not entirely right about that. Cue series of tests with three different specialists, each turning up something that needed another test to clarify or confirm. They don’t have my name on a new radiology wing or anything, but they should!! Anyway, this time the thumbs up came from the hematologist/oncologist. She’s awesome, but like I told her, hope to never see her again.
Also the spinal thing is improving, which is nice to know.

Rollo, I hope you are enjoying some sunshine. It's rained so much here, there's even moldy-looking stuff on my car.
Today is The Boy’s first day of school. We started off with the wrong uniform, then he almost wore the wrong shoes with the right one. Now I wonder if there’s a third screw-up that I just haven’t noticed yet. Hopefully it won’t be me forgetting to go back and pick him up.
The Girl will attend a different school this year, so the car rides will be just me and The Boy. He likes to listen to NPR and argue about politics. I like to sip my coffee and look at the sky. (We live in a tree-infested area, so views are rare and to be appreciated.) This year he’s either going to learn to back off on the way to school, or I’m going to be steering with a knee while I wrap my hands around his skinny neck.
Perhaps I should have deployed the Red Coffee Cup this morning.

@minque: Thanks for the well-wishes. Bronchoscopy went well on Monday last week, but I won't know anything until i see the pulmonologist this coming Saturday. Does the fact that you'll be able to play MW again mean that we'll see more of a certain Archmagister?
@Grits: My advice when the Boy gets on your nerves: turn off your hearing aid and keep your eyes on the horizon. Oh, wait, that only works for me . . .

I hear you about the tree-infested area! Our family home was located on half an acre with about 24 mature oak trees (and two Norway maples), so stargazing was always out. Now in the current home I co-own with my mother, we have skimpy saplings and a great view over farm fields to the south. I get to see some pretty dramatic weather from time to time. Wish you could send some of your rain our way - we are in the worst drought since 1988.

First day of school for me as well today, and it went well. The teachers seem nice and though I haven't really talked to any of the other students yet people who work with animals or have pets are usually nice/cool people. The school's got a cooperation with Skansen (the zoo in Stockholm), so apparently we have some educational visits to the zoo to look forward to, as well as a lot of workplace situated education. For once I'm actually looking forward to going to school in the morning. I've also edited the videos I took in Nordens Ark, and uploaded them to youtube. @Saqin: enjoyed those vids! The maned wolves (not really wolves, as you likely know already) look like skinny, leggy hyenas to me, with their shoulder-high stance. Yet they move like foxes, and are as beautiful as foxes. Looked up the maned wolf, it seems they are unique, unrelated to any other surviving canids (including wolves, coyotes, foxes, and domestic dogs). The snow leopard video was too short (but you don't have a great viewing angle, though), but it's enough to admire their huge feet and loooong tail. Snow leopards (along with jaguars) are my favorites of the big felidae. Oh, and fungal pneumonia is a lung infection caused by mold (simply put, mold is one form of fungus, yeast is another).
@Olen: Welcome back! You've been missed! Don't let ghastly scare you! Go for that PhD - you can make everyone call you Doctor then!

I'm glad you like them
haute ecole rider: Yeah, it was amazing to see the maned wolves. I've only seen them once before in another zoo, but in that place they're always hiding in the back of the enclosure. About the snow leopards, I didn't have a good angle of that sequence, I did however get an absolutely great angle of the two snow-leopards playing with each other afterwards, but my battery ran out just as I finished filming the stuff in the video and I didn't want to use up all of dads battery as well. I really regret not being able to make a longer video. Okay, lung infections in general sound pretty horrible so again, I hope you get better as soon as possible.
Olen: Good luck with the phd

So they removed the three subjects I've already got grades in from my schedule, and it looks soo empty. I'm hoping that I'll be able to study a higher level of one of those subjects at least, because I'm not looking forward to having three hours to wait for the next lesson. It might be alright when we get homework, but at the moment it's going to be so dull. However, of the six subjects currently on my schedule, three of them are about animals and animal care, and one is biology, which will later include animal biology
