Tempting, but I already have another TES-related disaster I'm involved in.
It may be just luck, but I think the World Bosses drop the Blue trophies more often than other mobs. Might have Eolan grind a few to get the trophies he doesn't have yet. Beats constantly killing atronachs in Reapers March, at least.

I spent some splendid adventure time with the lovely Aninah today. That towel looks fantastic on an Altmeri lass. Aninah wandered to the nearly deserted Gold Coast where she watched in awe as a Dragonknight took on Limenauruus by himself. (Aninah was there too, but she somehow ignored that fact in her admiration of the Dragonknight.) I have to guess that the guy was a tank, because he was unkillable and made Limenauruus stand still for long periods of time while Aninah whittled away at him and took out the various helpers that he spawned. It was pretty neat. Aninah decided that he might be an Orsimer due to his awesomeness matching her thing for orcs. She skipped away afterward to finish her assignment completely discounting her efforts throughout the very long fight. Sigh. Anyway, tanks!

Neat story, Grits. Buffy similarly loves the idea of a big steel tank in front of her.
Buffy did experience a somewhat similar scene some time ago. She came across one of those skull&crossbones sites and there was a character soloing the world boss. She ran to help but as she got closer the primary thing she was looking for (the engaged character's health bar) was happily bouncing between 95-100% full. The character was a CP561 and seemed to be doing fine. Just taking a long time. Standing ready to heal or even toss dps if needed, she watched for a time to see if she could determine what class the character was. Before long, it became clear it was a templar. Eventually, Buffy did toss in some shards, curses and buffs but decided mostly keeping out of his way was perhaps best.
After the templar's 99% solo kill of the boss, Buffy was a little surprised and guilty that the corpse was lootable by her - apparently her support was sufficient to trigger whatever it takes. She has happily learned that the game clearly counts the support/heal/debuff/buff work of healers as counting toward getting credit for kills, not just damage (if any).

DragonKnights have some kind of reflect damage pose that makes them totally unkillable, all they have to do is hold that pose and everything done to them reflects onto the sender. Don't know if it is magicka or stamina based or if it is a passive, I've heard about it via PvP complainers, lol.

Hits or healing, as long as you contribute to the battle in some way. Standing there swishing your sword and missing every enemy as they mill around you won't get you a thing though, as poor Mia found out at a Dolman, lol.

I'm pretty sure that there have been fights where Buffy's total contribution has been healing/buffing the damage dealers, yet she gets loads of lootable corpses after and the 'killing foes' XP counter is ticking away.
I do think I recall a thread on the Zen forums confirming that support contributions count. Like a tank who only blocks or healer who only heals. It is bit hard to test without being careful since several of the skills Buffy uses to curse/heal/buff/debuff/cc cause damage as well.

I know for a fact in the Alliance War that healers also gain Alliance Points in the Cyrodiil war for healing there even if they do nothing else in battle. Healing is recommended as the best way to gain Alliance Points without actually getting into the combat - or just run around resurrecting players if you are like Misa and can't heal another player.

Dec 27 2016, 03:50 AM
Oh, silly me. Just realized a much cleaner example of only healing getting credit. At Breda's FestQuest tent there are many players beating up the poor local bandits. Buffy will often 'support' by tossing healing only spells without any dps unless someone seems to be in real trouble. And we're routinely surprised that the baddies her 'patients' have killed are often yellow lootable corpses.

Back when Haa-Rei did some PvP he would get alliance points simply for being in the vicinity when his alliance captured/defended a fort or resource point. I'm not sure if this is still the case, but it meant that he could get rewarded even for minimal participation.

Today Elke of Green River had the privilege of meeting Buffy! Elke needed to get into Grahtwood without walking across the continent, and Buffy kindly brought her there. Elke felt quite bashful and more than a little like a big white war horse next to Buffy's petite elven beauty.

Honestly, I've been running the same thing for over a year now that may be behind current meta. That thing being something I threw together that works well enough in solo PvE and the occasional group PvE.
By Stamina I mean that all skill morphs are geared towards stamina when I can help it and stamina is the second most invested attribute behind health. I figured since he has a bonus to magicka due to being a Breton, he wouldn't need much investment in the attribute, and his magicka-based skills are limited to things like Breath of Life as an emergency heal or Rune Focus. But as I said, his weapon damage isn't all that great, which makes things like Veteran Maelstrom Arena impossible for him to finish.
I also found that his magicka resistance reaches the soft cap way before physical resistance because, again, Breton. Though his physical resistance falls a few thousand short of what is desirable for tanks, which I've been meaning to fix once I get enough Lion Fangs for the Armor Master set. Right now he's running a full Hist Bark and...Vampire's Kiss? The dodge can be a lifesaver when your stamina is hurting. He's also stuck to the Endurance Jewelry set and a Prismatic enchantment on his helmet and shield. I also don't have a very high Undaunted or Alliance War skill line. I DO have Inner Fire and recently unlocked the armor passive, but I don't have caltrops unlocked. Yes, that's right. I tanked without opening with an AoE. Kill me now.
I haven't done group PvE content in about a year now, though.

Nice to hear some of the details of your templar, Monkey. I was really jazzed by your mention of the Hist set since I've had my eye on it for some time as a 'big girl dropped set'. Buffy is a CP151 magplar healer and I've promised her a set of Histx5 when she gets 160. She only really fears two things:
1. Running out of blue. Despite being a Bosmer she's doing pretty well there.
2. Getting disabled/stunlocked. When she has died, this has usually been the problem. As long as she's casting she's doing damage and healing but if she gets knocked out of action, her little red bar evaporates frighteningly. Nice thing about a healer is that their primary defense is the same as her primary role/focus - healing faster than foes can kill her or allies but, again, all that shuts down if disabled. She's gotten good at blocking/dodging when needed, invested plenty of CP into shortening any disable duration and is really looking forward to the Histx5 set bonus since it cuts 20% off all disable durations and heals you every second you are disabled. Sounds way too good to pass up. She'll stick with Seducerx5 for her other set - simple with nice bonuses for her.
