Well how do they expect people to get better if they don’t invite people along? Developing new elite players should be a priority for other top players in a serious guild (case in point, they had to ask you because all of the other “elite players” told them to shove off). Khajiit just hates this elitist thought process, because the game is supposed to be open to everyone but if players are excluding other players simply because the don’t deem them “good enough”, well then that is a huge steamy pile of poo.

Yes, well they are trying to get good enough to do these trials on Veteran level; and so have been recruiting and inviting only really good players - even from different guilds to get a group good enough to do veteran. So unless they are desperate; I am not even crossing their minds.

Britta just Tanked Ruins of Mazzatun on Veteran!!!! WOO HOO !!!!!!!! She now has the Mighty Chudan helm (to go with the pauldrons she already had) = and the house has a new bust upstairs on that trophy ring plus a wall trophy downstairs behind the trophy ring! (had to remove the Clockwork City collectible to put them up; but that collectible was sitting where the Transmute station will be going anyway - not to mention that removing it freed up the two slots of the table it sat on and the candle that lit it, lol ).

We could actually start off doing random normals together to learn the dungeons; learn the mechanics of the bosses before upping it to veteran. (or maybe at first just doing the baby dungeons on Veteran = Fungal Grotto; Banished Cells; Spindleclutch; etc).

I'd join you as a Tank anytime you want to go out with one of your DPS. (I don't have any DPS characters good enough; Misa is the best and she only does under 7,000 DPS).

I think Gosse and Acadian were doing some; maybe they would let us join them!

So just a heads up: this week's Luxury Furnishings are Clothier-based.

I've found some of that fabric furnishing once, but it's nice to be able to stock up on these things since the fabric basket near Homestead launch. It's great to finally have the one thing I wanted for the Squad's houses. I bought 2 looms, one for Jo's Sleek Creek and for the Squad's Striden Springs. Wasn't sure if I should put it near the IC clothier stations or in Jo's little lounge in the second floor, but I'm going with the latter for now. Now I just need some forges for Eolan. And maybe some lumber?

EDIT: I bought 3 looms, like 18? units of those cloth stacks, and like 8 spools of thread. AMA

I am delighted with the clothier stuff. The folded cloth looks just as good flipped over with the polka dot fabric showing. I only bought one loom because the crew is still buying housing, but it looks awesome in Elke’s clothier workshop. So glad they are interspersing some normal large and clutter items with the Daedric and such weekends.

Sure! That's the crew's primary residence, so stop by any time. The clothier stuff is inside on the second floor. I just gave you decorator permission in case you need to move something to where you can see it better. It can be pretty dark up there and Pog is behind getting the lighting made. laugh.gif

I still want to come look at these; but missed the sale. verysad.gif I got tied up with a guy that is helping me build a new character; and lost track of time. The luxury vendor was already closed by the time I realized how late it was.

A friend I met online was soloing Veteran dungeons with his Templar; and told me he would help me build a good Templar for DPS if I would make one while this festival was on to take advantage of the double XP boosts. Well ... hell yeah!

So I started one the day before yesterday; and Haute was kind enough to make me a set of training gear for her. I loaded her up with Breda's XP boosting ale and went out skyshard hunting with her the first day; and she made it to level 9 by the end of that first night.

Yesterday I added an XP scroll to Breda's ale and the guy brought her to Skyreach in Craglorn to power-level her up on mobs there. By the time she reached level 17 (and still in level 4 light armor) she was dying too much; so I had to stop and make her a new armor.

Well, I didn't have the mats for her level; and didn't want to buy them since he was power-leveling her and she would be out of them too soon to be worth the expense; so the end result is that she is wearing level 14 gear; lol. But even just that 10 level increase helped her survive better.

So she went back to Skyreach with him (and now there were two friends of his with new characters). My new girl was just under level 20 by the time I had to stop playing last night. The guy helped me set up her Champion Points; he knows what percentage each one should be and had me juggle them around till he was satisfied with them.

This guy is a genius; he has developed some kind of app that calculates all stats on your character; their armor; the CP points; etc. = and totally by the math it spits out what you need to do to optimize your builds. He has already started tweaking Britta's Tanking gear; and is the one that helped me get her through the Ruins of Mazzatun on Veteran.

So anyway; that is what happened yesterday that I didn't make it to see the luxury items; but I am most def popping by to see them and probably drool over them. verysad.gif

It will be worth it if I can make a good DPS character out of this. She was doing (at the most) just under 5,000 DPS that first day when Haute and I were testing her on the Combat Dummy at the Guild Hall; (which is what Misa averages) but last night in the dungeon she was doing over 15,000 DPS; so already is the highest DPS character I've ever had.

So a combination of electricity issues making me fear for my recently fixed PC and just honestly not being up to the task of 9 long quests in a row each day lead to me not wanting to do the New Life Festival this year. At least until I get a surge protector from this decade. Otherwise I rather play Dark Souls 3 with my little time on the PC.

At the very least, I got a sword swallower memento last night.

Hey friends! I’ve been missing in action the past few weeks but I had the time boot up some ESO and I noted there were so many changes, including sprinting and among other things like animation. I was pleasantly surprised at some gameplay dialogue.

I’ve did Hircine’s quest a long time ago and in yesterday sSandor’s travels he aided a group of desperate Glenmoril Witches in taking back the region from evil Reachmen. I’ve watched gameplay videos of this quest before and was surprised when the dialogue was different to the condition of my character. Rather than “mortal”’, Hircine referred to my character as “the prodigal pup,” and asked Sandor “if he had learned anything.” From his quest in Oblivion.

That was a pretty cool touch!

I’ll try to upload the gameplay!

Aw, I'm really sorry about the storms making you fear for your PC; but totally understand. I am using a surge protector right now that got literally fried several years ago in an electric storm, and have taken to unplugging everything in the house every time I hear thunder anywhere near the house now = just in case.

I just saw something hysterically funny in game, and had to come mention it: Two Players dueling; one was a Sorc with pets. The Mage was standing in one spot using the "Writing" emote while his Scamp and Matriarch tore into the other Player. At one point the other Player hit the Matriarch with something that pinned her to the ground for several seconds; at which time the Mage put the paper up and jumped into action with some lighting spell. As soon as the Matriarch was back up he went back to "writing his letter," while the pets finished off the other Player! It was hysterical, I have seen Tanks do stuff like that before; but never a Sorc! And I have to wonder = why did that second Player not attack the Player instead of the pets? rollinglaugh.gif

Buffy has noticed group delves in Craglorn and been curious. So today she studied up on them and dove into one.

They look on the map like a normal delve symbol (torch) but with a + next to it. UESP wiki says they are currently ‘balanced’ with a party of two in mind. It seems there are six of them in Craglorn and they are a rather unique breed of dungeon with the following characteristics:

- Like a group dungeon, they are a unique instance. Foes do not respawn and you will see no random players.

- The groups of foes are tougher than those in a public dungeon but not off the chart at all.

- Bosses have about 775k hp and pack a pretty good punch, so they are midway between public and group dungeon bosses.

- It seems there is not a cap (min or max) on the size of your group.

The one that Buffy chose to investigate was Hircine’s Haunt and she cleared it solo as a magicka sorceress (dps). It indeed felt about midway between a public and group dungeon. It was tough to solo but she did so without dying. She then changed into a templar (healer) and again soloed the same dungeon.

The reason I bring this up is that these unique dungeons seem almost perfect if we want to do a challenging but fun guild run during one of our meetings. They indeed seem almost midway between a public and a group dungeon. The one that Buffy did was not overly large and quite straightforward to navigate. Two players would work nicely (though somewhat challenging) but it would still be fun even if we had 5 or 6 of us.

Er...I'm a bit too inexperienced with the Templar to attempt trying to actually play her in a dungeon; but I'm game with Britta if you need/want a Tank!

Acadian
Update on those group delves. Did a second one. Hircine's Haunt had 2 bosses, each with about 775K hp and adds. Just did Rkundzelft. Quite a bit easier dwemer ruin with lots of constructs. There were also several generic centaurians with about 290K hp encountered along the way to the one boss. The only boss was alone with no adds and had about 480K hp so that is what made the dungeon feel notably easier.

So Rkundzelft felt closer to a public dungeon in challenge while Hircine's Haunt was a few notches more challenging. Still, good stuff!
Grits
Acadian, group delves sound like they will be great fun. When we get a handful or more from our guild it feels silly to rampage over other players in a public dungeon, but group dungeons aren't quite for spontaneous visits. A group delve sounds perfect!
Acadian
That's just what I was thinking - almost custom made for little guild events. Can even stop to chat after clearing a room and not worry about respawns dropping on our heads.

Oh, and love your new screen of the month! Not often we get to Jerric dressed up a bit! happy.gif

Edit: Well, it looks like the group delves do respawn trash mobs anyway. Just did another and had to fight some of the same mob groups on the way out. Oh well, still good stuff.

Trey found himself in Coldharbour... where he met a Nord named Lyris. She informed him that he is dead- probably executed for some crime or imagined crime. I guess the Empire finally quit fooling around with the whole "prisoner" thing, since it never seems to work out quite how they imagine. Or else Lyris has been at the mead a bit too much what with the Saturalia Festival.....

Fast-forward a bit- because of some truly kind and generous folks, Trey (who decided to call himself a Nightblade, because that's the closest fit for his.... erm... attitude) managed to do some sneaking and helping around Bleakrock Isle (while, as usual, gathering every thing that isn't nailed down- plus some things that probably were).

He is now level 7 and has gone to Glenumbra and gotten his first 2 crafting certifications- smithing and woodworking. Because he (or his real-world interlocuter) is OCD, he will get the rest very soon.

My thanks to everyone who has welcomed me and helped me- I think this is going to be a grand adventure.

Hey mane, you need a weapon forged or some armor crafted, anything, you let us know. Between all of us, we probably can craft you gear in any style you want.

Speaking of which, Mira learned two complete motifs today. First we paid 2000 crowns for the Stahlrim Frostcaster motif which also came with 5 mimic stones. Then we bought 4 Flame Atronach Crown Crates and won the Yokudan motif! Feng is going to love that one!

Hey, Congrats on the Yokudan motif!

Trey, I'm echoing Khajiit here - anytime you need gear, supplies, etc, just hit any of us up. I've had Dame B send me lockpicks while in the middle of a dungeon ( laugh.gif ), Grits send me crafting supplies to finish out my writs, and so on.

Oh, and one other thing - you can use any of our primary residences to get out of trouble fast! Mine is close to a wayshrine, so it's great to hopscotch there then hop the wayshrine train to somewhere.

Yes, this will be a grand adventure!

It is good, in Khajiit’s opinion, that Treydog didn’t start off with that mess in Vvardenfell. Why they decided to make that the starting zone after you load the Morrowind chapter, Khajiit will never understand. Speaking of Vvardenfell, Sorai-Arbul got some action yesterday. Mira made her a new hat, but she needed to level up to try it on. She talked to a Khajiit outside of Seyda Neen who in turn sent her on a mission to destroy his operation in the cavern Zainsipilu. The hat? It looks really good on her!

You want soul gems? I have a ton of several different sizes from murdering pickpocketing priests in that daedric hole in Vvardenfell, lol I'll send you as many as you want free of charge!

Pics or it didn't happen!

Lol, Khajiit has a ton of pics to post. Maybe tomorrow, if this one can pull himself away from the game long enough laugh.gif

Oh, we got another Chorrolite this side of the servers? Nice! Welcome to all the new people I missed out on because of several things.

I have plenty of those, but thank you. I think somewhere along the line Greater and Grand soul gems were being sold that weren't obtainable otherwise? If I remember correctly, they were several thousand gold each, most likely because they light up. Ah well, regular soul gems work just fine and generally look almost identical.

Anyways, congrats to Mira for the lucky drop! Yokudan is kind of a pain to farm imo

Ditto what Khajiit and Haute said = anything you need, just ask! I'm just so excited to see Trey in the game!!! I have been playing this game for 3 years now and haven't finished everything in the base game yet; (not even counting all the DLC!) Having all of Tamriel at your disposal means you may never stop finding something you haven't done yet!

I have really loved seeing Morrowind in today's graphics; and recognizing places from the old games is what really captured me completely into this game. I remember in 2009 how badly everyone wanted to have the ability to travel to all the different Provinces in one game well this is that game!

I am so glad you are joining the game!

Oh heck, thought I had a place to unload some of these, lol.

Holy Cow, you have amazing luck with those crates!!!

It was the fourth crate too. Khajiit was thinking the best things he’d come away with was some Legion Centurion Field armor and another Mages Guild costume. This one was very excited when Pacrooti threw out a fifth card and that motif popped up!

Many thanks to you all! I may take up those kind offers of assistance as I get deeper into the game. Still in the "Ohhhh- look at that!" stage right now. And the thing I most desire is to get Trey (in this incarnation or another) to the point where he can be of help to the Guild. Now to go cook some pork- in game anyway. MY personal cooking tends more to the "Remove plastic from tray and heat in microwave for 6 minutes". I always wonder if they mean for me to heat the plastic for 6 minutes- seems kind of pointless, but (shrug)....

I haven't even been able to get a fifth card from him the past three free crate events! Although I actually did get a decent mount out of the last free batch of crates we got!

Well, to be honest, this one has been buying just enough crowns for the pack of four crates every paycheck and spending some of the ESO+ crowns on crates too. So you see, this one has gotten a ton of the smaller junk items that exchange for too small numbers of crown gems (kind of wish we had the mimic stones we traded for gems back, now that we have the Frostcaster style). If you spin the wheel enough times, it’s bound to come up with something nice at some point.

A bit embarrassed to admit buying those things but this one figures the $15 or so that the crowns cost isn’t going to make or break him as long as Khajiit doesn’t go nuts with it.

Actually, I'm glad you did admit it. I was actually considering buying a few crates with my Crowns Xmas present from my son based on hearing about you buying four crates and getting the motif; and IIRC Monkey getting three free crates and getting a rare motif book from them too = figured I might change my luck by actually paying for a set of crates, laugh.gif

Your confession effectively burst the dream balloon; instead I'll buy the Mundus stones with them, laugh.gif
