Interesting- Trey was also in Shadowfen.... He intended to relax and do a little fishing, but what with crocodiles, wamasu, plague husks, and people wanting his help....
Yeah- it didn't work out. After trying to catch a few fish (and getting jumped by some critters), he gave it up and went back to crafting writs. After all, 3 shields and 6 bows is better than what the answer to "So what's biting?" turned out to be.

Jerric tends to bring empty soul gems to fill on fishing trips. There's always an adventure!

Trey went on a "Dying Across Glenumbra" tour.... He got killed by the Wyrd Tree Corruption (3 times), Skitterflame in Dead Man's Hallow (2 times), and the Bad Man dremora (once).
After all that- he repaired to his room in the Rosy Lion to contemplate a quieter future- possibly back in Coldharbour. Or maybe just staying at that nice home in Wrothgar with the hot springs and the kitty and all....

That one cheats! I got killed half a dozen times because the circle of protection around the elemental guardians didn't do anything. Then I logged off and back in, and it started working. I still died a couple more times before succeeding.
Other recent glitches: I went to turn in a writ, and the crate wasn't there. Doing the alchemy certification, the quest marker for the certifying mage pointed to where he usually stood in the guild, but he was waiting by the alchemy table in another building.
I thought ZOS developed this, not Bethesda.
My characters have got the free inn rooms in each Alliance, but in total we have one stool and a stick to furnish with. Looking to make some more, if we can find the blueprints/patterns/stuff. What level do you need to be to make a bed?

Trey collected 3 ancient swords from the Alessian battlefield in northern Glenumbra, and then watched the bickering mages turn the simple ceremony into a cockup.
So- while searching for iron, he stumbled into Bad Man's Hallow- see above.
After all that, he decided to try his luck fishing in Shadowfen, but the fish refused to appear anywhere in the designated zones. Since those spots are supposed to refresh quickly, he abandoned the quest. He will now pick it back up to see if that resets the fishing holes. He did take out 5 crocodiles and 1 wamasu...
ETA- Apparently the Festival is over... which may be why the fishing was glitched. After abandoning the quest, Breda no longer seems to spawn at the location S of Windhelm. Ah well- maybe next year.

Mira says, “Pfft. Mages. Always overthinking everything.”
Brenna has gone into Bad Man’s Hollow a few times for the Mages Guild. Lucky for her there is no serious combat between her and the objective.
For some reason, Khajiit hates fighting crocodiles with anyone besides Brenna. Mira and Feng both roll their eyes every time they have to fight

I've been creating a few more characters, mainly to lock in the names before others grab them. Laurie Craft (not my first attempt at her name, but less failed attempts than I expected), Wizwen, and Cat Man Dhou. I may create the rest of my limit, just to have more races represented.
Laurie will be working with Blossom to build up the crafting skills. Blossom can craft Redguard style, so the recovered mats won't get wasted. Laurie hasn't learned Orcish (or Bosmer, Nord or Khajiit) but hopes to soon. Unna has Bosmer, and a higher level of Blacksmith than the crafter pair right now, but she's mainly making things for herself to use (heavy and greatswords) and wants the Ancient Elven (assuming that cuirass she got was that style) so she can keep her look.
Wizwen is currently stuck trying to battle the Veiled Heritance leaders solo. I suspect they're leveled for multiple players to take them on, but nobody else is in there right now. Her Clannfear isn't as much help as she needs.

Trey finished Foul Chew- (sounds like a nasty dog toy- which I guess is appropriate) with some help from some other folks who happened to be wandering through. Bolstered by that success, he went to the Wyrd Tree- and died- AGAIN. So a few writs later, he stumbled into the Illesan Tower ruin and discovered that the Red Rooks are involved with some other bodies somewhere.
Meanwhile, Izanami, who had been left on the Port Hunding waterfront far too long, decided to help Captain Kaleen. He had some doubts, as she kept talking about a "heist," but he owes her his life and that is a debt that must be paid. So he managed to find the three associates she wanted and convinced them to help out. He did, however, turn over what he suspects was a stolen gem. Through the course of these diversions, he is slowly accumulating the heavy armor he would prefer, destroying the hateful reminders of his time in Cold Harbour as he goes.

Trey headed to Eastmarch to check out the New Life Festival invitation he was handed in Stros M'Kai. (It seemed better than going to Sheo's house for some happy hijinks- besides the undead, Trey has an aversion to madness- what with his Corprus experience and all).
From there, he headed to Bergama in the Alik'r and completed the Fire Sprint. Of course, getting to Eastmarch and then to Bergama involved some roundabout travel, because he had not yet discovered wayshrines in those provinces... a problem which is now fixed. After all the dashing about (and dodging various murderous Daedra, banditti, critters, and etc., the Mage Guild request is looking less of a bad thing- at least it is sorta right there in nice, safe Glenumbra).
But now he has a nifty souvenir mug to show all his friends.
Of course, Daggerfall had it's own share of perils, as he assisted the Beldama Wyrd in fighting back the Bloodthorn corruption.
Since he was touring the realm anyway, he also decided to see what this Skaldir in Deshaan wanted. But before he could get there, a rather insistent Dunmeri girl roped him into investigating a "plague" and the people who claimed to be curing it. Nostalgia for Vvardenfell made it impossible for him to turn down the request- even if these Dunmer no longer have the "rasp" in their voices that was once so familiar to him.
Sounds like Trey is bouncing around testing out a little bit of everything! Did he try any of the other New Life quests? They are all just fun, light-hearted and easy to do quests. It is actually my favorite of the annual festivals; even though the Jester Festival is a laugh riot!

But what Class will you make them? I made a bunch of Nightblades; then found out I loved Dragon Knights better and that Templars had much higher DPS; etc. I actually did test out the other Classes before doing that; but didn't have help building them properly; and ended up hating all of them except the Nightblade. Well; once I had help building the Dragon Knight and Templar, I wished I'd never thrown those characters away. (seriously = the ones I tried to build couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag). So you may want to make at least one of each Class and fiddle around with their builds to find out what pleases you the most.

Trey and Izinami took a tour of some lovely homes throughout Tamriel, thanks to haute. The furnishings and themes were quite envy-inducing, and caused my characters to resolve to redouble their efforts to develop crafting skills.
Trey finally defeated the Wyrd Tree corruption after realizing that his creator was giving him bad advice. Sniping from a distance is too slow and gives the Corruption a chance to blast one with many frost spells. The key is to wade into melee range and do max damage with all melee and ultimate skills, then duck back for the protection of one of the Elementals. It is still a hard solo fight, but possible with the right tactics.

Anytime you have a bounty and need a quiet place to hide out; you can always fast travel to the Guild Hall = plenty to do there while you wait for your bounty to go down: combat practice dummies; crafting; banker and merchant; etc = and you might end up seeing some Guildees hanging out there to talk to while you wait!
(You can fast travel to the houses from anywhere, even the middle of a dungeon).
On houses = anyone with jobs that net them bounties should buy the house in Reapers March. Its back door is 20 feet from the Outlaw Refuge with no guards between the house and the door! All my
Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood characters with a bounty use it as a quick jump to the Fence and a refuge to ride out the bounty if it is too big to pay.

Urgh, I've been having to buy mats for daily Writs ever since I raised that bank mule up to crafting the highest level this last Witches Festival. You wouldn't think one character more doing daily Writs would make THAT much difference, only three items per Writ = but it is like suddenly I never have enough materials since she started doing them. That and adding that one extra character has made it feel like a grind to do those Writs every day.
But that said = despite the fact that SHE herself has only gotten two Master Writs out of it; my overall drop rate of Master Writs has actually increased since she started doing them; and I am getting more high level ones too.
On the house decorating = if you get a chance to talk to anyone from the Vanquish guild; ask to see some of their decorated houses! They are like going to a Disney World Theme Park; just some real genius artists at work in their houses! They made that small Skywatch room into a bank vault; and when you port into it you would never even recognize it or where you were without looking at the map! Trey got drawn into a mess in Rivenspire- mostly because of the fact that both the Fighters and Mages seem determined to get him killed....
He managed to resolve the first part of the problem- and meet with High King Emeric. But as is always the case with nobles, their thanks were immediately followed with, "Oh- and since you happen to be standing here, let me ask you to do something else." Something that will certainly be difficult, almost assuredly painful, that will involve crawling through crypts, critter dens, and/or sewers.
However, I did accidentally discover that one of the 10 buttons on this gaming mouse swaps weapons- so I am slightly less likely to accidentally hit the Q key and use up one of my in extremis potions when I am just out wandering around....
Aannnd now they want him to "investigate" 3 Dark Anchors in Glenumbra. Trey believes "investigate" is a euphemism for "Go and get your ancient arse killed, and we will 'CSI:Daggerfall' your remains to determine what all murdered you. Assuming there are any remains left. K thanx bi."

Of course if you ever want someone to just overwatch and keep you from getting killed Maz and Alise have become quite good at this. We’ve been letting the junior toons do all the work to gain xp, and jump in only if said junior starts losing health. If it’s either Maz or Argis in that situation they bring out their healing staves and keep the other players buffed.
Now that Maz has done her Gold she can go anywhere in the three alliances and would welcome the break from daily crafting! This goes for all of you running low level toons.

Back when I was
in Crafting Hell grinding for the IC set stations I discovered that just 3 characters doing the max level writs use up nearly a full stack of materials IN A DAY. It got so bad that the occasional survey drop wasn't enough to replenish supplies and I had to regularly gather materials or poach them from lower level crafters. Thankfully, I had several stacks of materials on hand so I never completely ran out.
Having another character contribute Master Writs does help, though! That said, I'm not sure if I'll revive my crafting-mule just yet, even with my only access to Housing Storage being from the Master Writ merchant.
I haven't been paying attention to the vouchers I've gathered, but after today's Master Writ frenzy I think I'll have enough vouchers for all 7 by the time the update goes live. :U

Shards will be useful, as will the XP.
Blossom did consider wearing the tabard for this, but it does NOT go with her dress!

Trey met up with Dro and Blossom and had a grand time chasing skyshards and beating delve bosses- as well as one world boss- who only managed to kill Trey once- when Trey forgot he is NOT a tank and needs to STAY AWAY from Limbscather....
It was great fun with excellent adventuring companions. Thanks to haute for leading and ghastley for the adventuring.
It was fun going out with you two. I thought you acquitted yourself quite well against all comers.

Blossom is built like a brick outhouse, but she's not built to be a tank either. All points in stamina, so she should do decent DPS. She needed all the healing she could get against that boss, of course, but seemed to be getting it. I didn't notice who it went off to chase, but I'm not sure I did the right thing by going after it when it left its designated location.

Ah, I always forget to pull that tabard out of the bank before guild outings! Oh well!
We should hit Bad Man Hollows together, maybe with Dame B as the dedicated healer so Maz can be the “tank”.

Sounds like great fun! Buffy loves tagging along as healer!

We are kind of entertaining the idea of running Bad Man's Hallows. A larger (and more able to survive) group would be most welcome. Trey got zorked by the only 2 bosses he didn't sneak past....
However, while Blossom was dealing with Lord Diel last night- Trey did manage to catch a salmon off the dock. His kittehs have bee extremely interested....

Well Maz for Steel and Buffy for Heal is a formidable foundation upon which to build a group. Sounds fun!
Will keep our eyes out for this. . . or perhaps toss out a good time and sort of coordinate here?

When Unna went to get the shard at Sheogorath's Tongue, she wondered why everyone was avoiding the area just up there on the next hill. The WB Aureal one-shot killed her. Fortunately that one was not guarding a shard, so Unna could go with the masses, and avoid her, too.
But now the last two shards in the zone appear to be in group dungeons, so she may need to recruit for those. That is just a vanity project for the Achievement, as she could just go find more in Deshaan. Finding them was half the project, as foraging for the crafters was also needed.
I'm considering taking the crafters to a respec shrine, and lowering their crafting skills to level 1, so they can just use the iron/jute/rawhide/maple of which we have too much, rather than the steel/linen/hide/oak that keeps running out. If mALX is right about the XP rate of gain, then that's two reasons.
