Did anybody have trouble with the server last night? Like around 8:15-8:30 EST (my time zone)? Because I started to lag a bit and then it got really bad. It wouldn't let me log off since I was still technically in a fight with a Dremora (it'd be a bit annoying if I died and had no idea). Eventually it just kicked me out. I couldn't even log back onto the server. My Internet was fine and the ESO launcher loaded the game without issue, and another multiplayer game that I decided to play worked just fine. It was just the megaserver for me, so I was wondering if others had the same issue.
So I didn't get to spend much time playing yesterday, but Cincinnatus finished up at the Tower of Lies and is on his way to the Library of Dusk now.

Khajiit never bought any gear for any of his characters. Next time you find yourself in that situation, simply ask one of us if we could make you a cool weapon/piece of armor. This one speaks only for himself when he says he won't charge you for his services, but mALX never charged Khajiit for anything either.
Yeah, but I don't want to make people give me free stuff frequently. I also felt I needed it right then, although I had a feeling that I might run across a staff in some loot. No biggie though. Thanks for the offer. I'll just ask next time.

The server worked fine for me last night but I noticed on the ESO official forums that quite a few PC NA folks were having problems. Zenimax eventually posted that there were indeed problems for some users and indicated they were trying to fix. I noticed this morning that Zenimax said problem fixed and didn't notice any user complaints continuing this morning. So, yes, I think there was a server problem last night.

I've decided to take the advice given here and just plunge into wrecking house in Coldharbour, after freeing my fellow Saxhleel in Murkwater from the Dominion. Already came across a quest to free some Fighters' Guild members from some labor camp, and came across a Dremora that I recognized from the Ebonheart Pact questline. Coldharbour looks like it has plenty for me to do to go up a couple levels.
A kind of annoying thing that happened was that while I was in Stormhold yesterday I went and bought a new staff because the staff I had was weakening and a lower level...only to come across a way better staff off of an Ogrim I killed in that labor camp. I'm not hurting for money, but it was still a decent chunk of money I spent so it is a bit bothersome. Oh well.
While leveling, it's better to just use looted gear than constantly buying or crafting it unless you GOTTA have a set for some reason. You also spend less money on repairs that way, since you're constantly replacing old gear.
Anyways, yeah, Coldharbour's great for last-minute leveling. I think I hit veteran levels while questing there, too.
Can't say I was hit with any server issues, but then I barely played last night.
Anyways,
OH MY GOD I cackled tbh.
Oh right, i started the art thread ahead of time.

Yeah, unless someone wants Nirnhoned or Prismatic - I will never charge for making equipment for a Guild mate or friend; and can make almost any set.

Having one character handle it does make it a lot more appealing.
When I was leveling the Squad eons ago, I had to jump around to craft some things and though I had plenty of materials on hand, looking at loading screens got old :V
I still did it.While leveling Fjotreid I stuck to one crafter because story, but if it wasn't for Training traits being mandatory for him, he'd stick to dropped gear.

Haven't seen it for myself in-game, but judging from the icon and other pieces, it's just the skirt (and it seems to be almost identical across weights) without the belt buckle and without the tassets (those normally come from the chest piece, but I'm not sure. (

Maybe once I pop into the PTS I can confirm.
Geeze, seeing the armor makes me wish the old Nibenese Imperials still existed, or at least that the Kothringi were playable in some capacity. Though I wonder if this aesthetic was meant for certain tribes of Argonians from the beginning.

Yeah Khajiit loves it. Very MesoAmerican overall but you could take the skirt and make it work for Ancient Egyptian or maybe even more classical Greco/Roman (in combination with certain other styles, of course).

The best thing about having multiple slots is mixing and matching. I can't wait to see how Transmog helps with that (if at all).
TIL the downside of limiting a character to a single zone's worth of skill points. I need at least 46 more. For idle crafting. I guess I also need all the skillpoints to at least finish the Warden skill lines. (I guess I can stick to Frost staff forever) Probably nearing like 60 needed, tbh.

It's wonky enough that characters start off in Vvardenfell now but
how they start is equally as weird. You either do the intro thing and find out you are from the mainland or you start without doing the intro with some slave clothes and slaver gear in your inventory. It's just very messy.

Well, didn't expect to run into a talking lamia. Also ran into a Khajiit that mistakenly used "I" a couple times when he had been saying "this one." 0/10 immersion broken, fix your broken game, Zenimax!
On a more serious note, Cincinnatus has been wrecking house in Coldharbour. I wanted to make sure I rescued everybody that I could before meeting the War Council, so I looked up to see who was left to rescue (perhaps some might consider that cheap, but whatever). It looks like there is only a couple quests left in one location, so next on the docket is there. Just in case though, are these quests for people you can rescue only doable before the War Council with the Mages and Fighters Guilds? I'm probably just going to do them anyways and I assume that they have to be done beforehand judging by The Groundskeeper's dialogue, but I was curious.

Yeah, I preferred the original opening over what we have now. Things are left much more vague and less likely to suffer from plotholes.
Seriously did anyone ever find out how you ended up in the cart in Skyrim with Stormcloaks when they were supposedly caught near Darkwater Crossing? We might get it back eventually, like how we got the "Start in the Beginner Islands" thing from the beta back (which honestly made much more sense). So there's that? Maybe?

To be clear, Khajiit doesn't have a problem with the added worm cult stuff. It's the starting on Vvardenfell that he doesn't like. It makes little sense.
monkeyemoness
Jul 2 2017, 04:28 PM
Yeah, that's what I was getting at. I have no problem with the added (well, re-added) worm cult stuff because you get slightly more context for what Lyris tells you in the beginning. Like I whined about earlier, not being given the choice on where to start is annoying and no, that Vvardenfell is "supposed to add background" to your character isn't a good enough excuse for this change because the game itself treats the chapter as, well, another chapter. It's not something that's supposed to be exactly before or after the Planemeld, if at all.
It's the same with Wrothgar. People say it's supposed to happen after the Planemeld because there are no dark anchors and ignore the statement in-game that it wasn't as widespread as it was made to be since some regions outright combated their construction. You'd see inactive dolmen in new zones otherwise. (Some will also try to cite some dates on documents in Wrothgar marked a year later after the game is canonically supposed to start when, lmao, ZOS themselves messed that up. Word of God before Wrothgar says the game starts in 2E 583, the date on the documents, when other sources say 2E 582--not even Zenimax is sure when the Planemeld canonically starts)
Remember what I was saying about the plothole in Skyrim's opening? Yeah. Same situation.
I already talked about how this setup is also confusing for new players that get the game along with the chapter and I see it all the time in Vvardenfell chat. "Where do I go from here?" "How do I begin the main quest?"
Like...good jorb Zenimax.
Anyways, that was my unsolicited wall of text arguing against being forced into Vvardenfell opening. That said, I wonder if it's intentional or they just couldn't figure out how to implement an alternate start like they said they were. Hell, Provisioning writs are still bugged in that you get the previous tier added to the list in an incomprehensible cycle (given that you get the same set of dishes twice in a row, there's no way it's intentional) and you STILL find trash Void-tier (cp90-140) weapons and armor in containers and in the world. (To say nothing of the many other things left unfixed)
And...I dunno, I guess I can handwave Soul Shriven powers when you're not Soul Shriven as Vivec or Azura's intervention or something.
I need some coffee.
Anyways, things are starting to calm down again. Outside of daily crafting writs I'm grinding for Morag Tong and Ashlander motifs. Also collecting Skyshards with Fjotreid.

Khajiit is always willing to accompany a guildie somewhere (when he's online anyway).
Woohoo! Bought a Dwemer crate and got a Hand of Almalexia uniform!
Pics or it didn't happen?
Oh you shall have pics! Might make a Dunmer character just for the occasion! Really wish Mira knew the Militant Ordinator style. Oh well, Dunmer shall just have to do.
WOO HOO!
Looks like it would be good warmage armor.

I love that place! Maybe we could get a small group together to help you meet those quests? There is a skyshard in there that I'd like to get; and with 4 people those heavy mobs are a breeze.
Sure, I'd love to sometime. I think I actually was able to get the skyshard in there. Made slight progress on the two quests in there but just had to abandon them for now.
Anyways, Cincinnatus is almost right at Molag Bal's doorstep. The Endless Stair is next after the success at Reaver Citadel. The Daedric Prince's day of reckoning is at hand.

Yeah it's not bad! Khajiit thinks it captures that scary "don't f with me" feel that they had back in TES3:Tribunal. The helm is different from the new Militant Ordinator set. This one believes it is the same helmet as the higher end regular Dunmer Medium gear.

And the feat has been accomplished! Never fear, people of Tamriel, for Cincinnatus of Lilmoth has stopped the Planemeld and eviscerated Molag Bal! At long last his primary quest is over! (And obviously I am the only person who was ever fit to save the world and has ever saved the world in this game.) He chose to sacrifice Varen. Admittedly, he chose Varen partly because he was a big part of why the Planemeld started in the first place and because it had been kept secret from Cincinnatus initially. But in the end he also respected Varen and chose to give him the honor of giving his life to try to write his wrongs, as Varen wanted.
After saying his farewells to Lyris and Sai, Cincinnatus touched the light of Meridia. There is no way in
hell Oblivion he is doing anything for the Covenant or the Dominion, so that is completely off the table. Besides, like he told Lyris before, he just wants to see the world. The Alliance War and his now-finished quest to defeat Molag Bal has taken a great toll on him, and he needs to rest. But his warrior nature will pull him back into the fray eventually.
For now, Cincinnatus is doing a bit of traveling. The Light of Meridia took him to Stros M'kai. He definitely plans to see more of the island, but after talking to a boatman the idea of traveling to Daggerfall intrigued him. Arriving in the magnificent city, he looked up at a beautiful night sky that he was able to take in without worry for the first time in Divines know how long. He turned in at The Rosy Lion for the night. Unbeknownst to him, as destiny would have it, a certain descendant of his would get caught up in political intrigue and much more in the late 3rd Era in that very city.
I enjoyed the ending to the main quest, but admittedly I have at least one grievance. I would have liked for Molag Bal's fight to have been tougher, for one. I know it is level-scaled and I was buffed and all, but it still felt a bit lacking. Still enjoyed cutting him up, but it does irk me a bit. But hey, another Elder Scrolls main quest has been checked off at least. Now Cincinnatus can enjoy hanging with his guildmates AND not be concerned with impending doom!

I remember being really cheesed off at the fact that you actually got to fight and beat Molag Bal one-on-one in his own realm.
Then I discovered you got the help of a Daedric Prince ([censored] his [censored] up, Meridia, you wild bitch) and Akatosh, and had to make a few sacrifices to do so. Now it's all like

Oh noez! Khajiit has seriously messed Feng's game up! He was in Greenshade and the captain guy was leading him to where they are keeping the Staff of Magnus. He stopped in the Mages Guild and Feng was supposed to examine two plants. Well, he accidentally told the guy to move on before he understood what was needed but he did go check out one of the plants but the other wouldn't let him. Not wanting a repeat of what happened to Mira in Shadowfen, Khajiit abandoned the quest thinking Feng could just go back out and talk to the captain again. Wrong! Guy was no where in evidence and when he went back to Eldenroot he could get into the Orrey to talk to the person he originally got the quest from. Unless this one can find a backdoor into that portion of the AD questline, it would seem that Feng is doomed to suffer the same fate as Mira and not be able to get all of the color achievements for his Alliance.

Rader - Congrats to Cinncinatus! Buffy sacrificed Varen as well. Her logic was two fold. First, Varen had already lived a long, full life compared to his younger companions. Secondly, during their several quests together Buffy grew quite close to Lyris. So sacrificing Lyris was off the table. And being a widow herself, Buffy would never intentionally allow Lyris to suffer the same by sacrificing Sai away from her. The reward for completing Cadwell's Silver is the Soul Shriven motif ability, which I kind of like for some things.
Khajiit - Oh I hope you can get Feng back on the magic track! For the ESO+ special, yes - if you pop into the game with any character each day, that will more than satisfy the requirement. Technically it says 'log in' so perhaps you could simply do that to bring up your character selection screen and call it good but I wouldn't risk that. Besides, playing every day is a good thing!

Hazmick - I really like Haa-Rei's beach shot of the month at our guild beach!

Thanks A. Feng has one last hope to do that part of the quest; supposedly Razam Dar will be hanging around Woodhearth and he may point him in the proper direction.
Also, good to know about the ESO+ thing. Khajiit figured that's what it was but the language is a little vague as you can also log into your account online.

Khajiit doesn't have a lot of hope that it will work; this one thinks we are too far down the questline to be able to go back. Then again, Mira did the Deshaan questline almost totally backwards, so there is a glimmer of hope.

I don't think you necessarily have to actually Play the game, but I would at least log in one character and check your mail.
Here is what it says in the mail they sent:

This one wonders why there is such a big delay between the log in days and receiving the crates? Khajiit is going to be quite annoyed if his crates contain nothing but potions. Though, he concedes that they don't have to give us any crates at all.
