Brenna did today too! We were hanging out in Glenumbra. There's a WB and a delve very convenient to Daggerfall, which is where Brenna's inn room is. Honestly, she is gathering so many branches furnishings that she is toying with the idea of setting them up in her room just to get them out of our bank.
In other Witches Festival news, Mira is quickly learning the Hollowjack motif.

Khajiit, make sure and check the guild bank periodically. Since this is not Buffy's first Festival, she's putting spare HollowMotifs and WitchieRecipes into the bank for others to use.
Given how many of those dead branch things are dropping, however, she's just been merchant-selling those. She did get a mask (ugly of course) and a cow skull and vines witch totem. She actually put up the witch totem in Snugpod and it looks okay.

If Brenna and crew don't get the few remaining chapters soon, we may hit up the guild bank as you suggest.

This year Hates is wearing the pumpkin mask with the Dark Brotherhood costume while trick or treating and with the Sun's Dusk Reaper title equipped. Definitely in the spirit.
This year I'm just aiming for the masks, so chances are I'll have a ton of unused recipes, motifs and furnishings.

does annoy this one that the woodworking station is so far away from the others in Windhelm, but Khajiit thinks maybe it's just the festive atmosphere in Windhelm in general that he likes. "The Mead Carollers" by the way shrine are hilarious!

Eldenroot is the perfect home for Buffy! Khajiit is so glad she has this place to call "her city"! That said, and Khajiit doesn't say the following to be a killjoy or disrespectful in anyway, but this one really dislikes Ghratwood. He finds it very hard to get around in if he's looking for anything besides a settlement, and the Eldenroot area is no exception. Khajiit will say that he greatly admires the beauty of the entire zone though.

I am looking forward to global writ turn-in so very much. Now Lleduri will be able to truly dwell in Mournhold. The new crew members will remain in Vulkhel Guard until they’ve finished Legerdemain, but I’m curious where the others will settle. Lildereth never furnished Snugpod because she had to hop back to VG every day. She loves Grahtwood and magnificent Elden Root, but I suspect that some day she will make a camp-home in one of the pod dwellings that has an exterior area. Elke loathes Belkarth because it is rude, hot, and crowded. She will be delighted to wipe the last of its dust from her sandals. Pog loves his cottage in Daggerfall, but he’s never there because his job has been in Craglorn. Best of all, Jerric will be able to pick up some work wherever he roams. Reading my way through the update notes while waiting for the update to download, I am most excited about being able to drop crafting writs anywhere. My toons are going to love it, especially Julian, who is in semi-retirement at Rawl’kha, and Alise, who is hanging out at Mournhold. Maz will like that she can craft and drop in whatever zone she’s working (currently Stonefalls on her Gold), as will Argis.
Phaedre doesn’t care. She doesn’t craft. She contributes to the gang coffers through less — umm — legal means.

Hmm, that sounds like the setting on casting ground spells. By default you have click to aim (drop the yellow circle on the ground), then click again to confirm/cast. There is a setting to make it one click. Works much better for Buffy.

So after ending today's session, Brenna is sitting on 71 plunder skulls earned. She's discovered that she loves sitting back and providing healing for folks who are getting attacked by bosses (and she still gets credit for the boss battle for plunder skulls! Bonus!). Mira has learned all but axes and chests for the Hollowjack motif achievement then we'll work on getting Brenna versed in Hollowjack too so she can get the title (not that she does any crafting; she just wants the title lol).
Also, we aren't sure if it's just us, but we've noticed a shortage of good tank players. Seems like almost every world boss fight we are in, inevitably the boss starts to go for the weaker players instead of being held by a higher level tank player. Even poor Brenna had to scramble a few times when all she was doing was casting her healing spell on people.

Oct 24 2017, 09:16 PM
Khajiit, I know exactly what you mean. Buffy loves to hang out at WB's and help others. I mean, she can solo most of them but much prefers to pit her healing against the boss's damage. Too many times, half a dozen players jump a boss and none of them go toe-to-toe! That makes the boss go rogue and run after all of them, changing his mind every few seconds. And that makes trying to drop any AoE damage on him impossible.
When there are no tanks or even melee types, Buffy will grab the boss by the nose, drop her protective auras, sweep him with her spears of light and hold him in one place. Her ability to focus on/heal others goes to pooh but, since she is, more or less, tanking, no one else really needs her healing ('cept her!). Anyway, not what she prefers to do but it does work by holding the boss in one spot and keeping him away from the squishy bow and staff plinkers.
She's not about to go 'real tank' and do taunting and such. She's coached a few newer ranged players that when the boss comes after them, don't run away; rather, lead the boss back to whoever is trying to hold him in position and willing to face smack him. She's had a couple archers run from the boss so far that the boss resets his health to full and trots back to his starting point. That can be frustrating!

Fortunately I've not had that happen to me, Acadian
Maz and I are feeling confident enough to go up against certain World Bosses solo since she got the five pieces of Thunderbug. Melee attacks trigger the proc, so those bosses that hit rather than cast are good targets for her.
Since Friday she's gone against the Kwama Champion twice, the Brood Mother (dreugh queen in Stonewalls) once, and the blue crab once.
The Brood Mother was an interesting fight. Here was my CP 500+ Champion and some level 21 player going up against this monster. And Maz had to resort to her healing staff early in the fight (she prefers her zweihander - better for anger management therapy) and repeatedly cast healing AOE's for both of them. However, though she died once, and the other player died twice, the two of them was able to keep the Brood Mother occupied until we finished her off. That was when Maz discovered that two of the abilities on her back bar act similarly to taunting in that they draw the boss to her. With her Thunderbug gear, she came as close to being a true tank as she's ever been, yet still was able to inflict serious damage. It was an awesome fight, and one she recalls with a great deal of tusk-baring pride.

Part of the Boss's AI package for combat is to go after Healers (probably because they have high spell crit on their healing spells; and the Boss is programmed to go after the one casting the highest crit). That is why Tanks HAVE to use the taunt, to force the Boss to ignore its own AI package.

I couldn't even solo that Werewolf Camp before One Tamriel (which is when they beefed up all the World Bosses and made it so I couldn't solo any of them anymore). Since One Tamriel I've tried that one several times, and only beat it with a really good group, lol.

I don't think I've fought many world bosses since One Tamriel dropped. Jo's done fine, though.
Anyways, more recent DLC have made it harder to do dailies on multiple characters. Prerequisite quests and all. Dunno if I should call it quits for tonight.
Acadian told me that the Undaunted skill line has upped its ceiling to 10! Looks like I'm going to have to bring Misa and Britta back out for their dailies again to get that highest level.

Yes, Undaunted skill now goes up to 10. The perk for getting 10 is a new title (Undaunted).

Bah! Today's maintenance patch went awry so it's doing the repair thing... and taking forever.

Why is it that people playing low level characters think they can go toe to toe with a WB? Brenna tries to do what she can for them, but they just take so much damage per hit! Flee, you fools!

Well poop, the male Breton clothes (among others) are being removed so I went and bought the mid level one for Eolan in spite of the overly poofy sleeves.
It kind of makes him look like a Daggerfall (the game) shopkeeper but he finds it's a nice middle ground between the high and low Breton clothes. Functional without essentially being a baggier version of what he already wears, but somewhat stylish in a way that's more to his taste. Might need some dyes tho
Anyways, been stuck on sidequests and dailies instead of doing the CC main quest. These material gathering quests are a doozy.

Yeah some of those extravagant Breton Male clothes are just not good looking, in Khajiit's opinion. The more basic ones look better to this one.
Speaking of clothing, Mira surpassed CP lvl100 and got a nifty Mannimarco armored robe! It goes well with the Thicketman mask!

Welp, Mira has been working hard to find Brenna a Hollowjack Maces chapter. She's opened almost 50 skulls and not one Maces chapter. On the bright side, Mira has been knocking out all of the delves in the Pact territories that she hadn't found so she's collecting a bunch of Skyshards (and by extension, skill points!).

Keep checking our guild bank. There's a ton of hollowmotifs in there. And I've probably got a dozen more in one of Buffy's packs to put in the guild bank.
Edit: Just added 3 HollowMace Motif books to the guild bank!
